Specifically who were you thinking?

I'm not inside the Saints front office however getting Apple for a 4th (see Rick Leonard) & 7th seems like great value to me.

Here's his salary.
@MikeTriplett: Saints will owe Eli Apple about $1 million this year, about $2.5 million next year and have the fifth-year option if they decide to keep him in 2020 ($$ amount not set yet, bu would include a hefty raise)

Re: Giants trading Eli Apple to saints

Too much is being made of his off field stuff
Nobody knows how he was treated by the players, coaching staff etc in New York. Not one of them has had boo to say when OBJ talks crap or acts the diva, yet they spole on Apple, a easy target. Maybe he does have some growing up to do,maybe he was used as a scapegoat for a awful team. Thing is if he was a locker room issue waiting to blow you would think that one of the 3 former college teammates would have been spoke to. The guys 23,been in the league a couple of years of course he has some maturing to do. He will be in a winning team, out of New York and with former teammates, it could well be the stage he needs to progress. And if its not then they have lost a 4th rounder for a half season rental and they'll cut him in the offseason or next year. He was a high first round pick for a reason

Same as everyone here, i would have preffered Peterson, but i also wanted Peters last summer(actually i wanted him drafted the year he came out) but the cost would have been huge for a team with little draft capital and little space to move for the cap if they want to fill some gaps next year and keep Bridgewater and Brees on board.

I think he will give a few penalties away but he has the height needed for the NFC South and if he can just avoid getting burnt his side he will get the help on the backend from Williams.

Hopefully with him and Robinson being close to a return we can see some improved play.

"Two receivers to the left, Garcon to the right. Manning in the shotgun, puts Collie in motion. Looks in his direction...it's picked off! It's picked off! It's Tracy Porter again! He's runnin' free! He's gonna go all the way!

Another stat: Saints CBs have allowed a 72% catch percentage against them while Apple has allowed a 56% catch percentage...

That 72% also includes Lattimore

Re: Giants trading Eli Apple to saints

I think the last few weeks have been better
Though im stuck without gamepass at the moment so just watching highlights and redzone. But they look to be getting caught far more in zone than man 2 man?

What are peoples thoughts on Coleman and Bell
I actually think we are missing Kenny, the guy was far from perfect but could do a bit of everything when fit. Looks to me one of the areas that needs looking at next offseason alongside a capable pass catching TE for the long term
