Don’t think it’s happening. Not unless we could find a RB who can block and plays the screens like a mad man. Ingram’s loss is really coming back to bite us.
Kamaras injury changes everything. Wish we could get Brandon Coleman back.

Loads of FA in next two years but they do have space. But no picks

2020 Rams cap hits ...

Goff 36M
Gurley 17M
Donald 25M
Cooks 17M

That will hurt big time and not to mention Ramsey will command a new deal.

One of the reason we need a Rookie QB when Brees walks

Thomas
Kamara
Ramcyzk
Lattimore
Rankins

And a few possible others

Rams just put Talib on IR and now Peters is gone. They will get roasted on those boundaries.

I see one and done once the playoff dust settles.

Heard once they lost Talib they decided to switch to a zone coverage scheme. Besides Peters, the remaining DB's are better suited to the zone. Peters was not. They got a very good young, fast LB in exchange that really filled in well when C.J. Mosely went down for a bit.

I'll be watching tonight's game (Broncos/Chiefs) with a slight bit of interest.

Hopefully Pat Mahomes lights up the Broncos into reality and their "mind set" about the post season.

Emmanuel Sanders is a guy I hope we trade for before the deadline.

We are thin at wide out & now Cook is injured.

I think it’s the opposite big brotha. Peters is better suited for zone coverage where he can sit back, read, and take chances. They want to play more man coverage now and send the heat. Jalen Ramsey is the perfect man corner. He can do both, but he shines in man coverage.

Does Miami have anyone that wants to play for them. He sees the writing on the wall. Putting his name out early.

Just in case anyone has missed it ...

All I want for Christmas is another chain moving WR to help Mike and AK. Last year we were in a similar boat with no other "threats". Too many missed 3rd down opportunities when it was money time.

Fourth rounder? Too much for a last year contract as his three year, 33 mil 2016 contract expires this year...

I'd rather trade for a younger DeDe Westbrook, cost less draft capital, salary cap slot...

Give up a 4th, 5th whatever ... win a super bowl and worry about the picks/draft capital later. If someone told me that giving up a 3rd/4th rounder would win another SB, I'd do that every day of the week.

I would rather give up a 3rd/4th rounder for Chris Harris if Apple is out longer than next week.

How the comp pick work, would you get it by trading for them and losing them this late in there deal, cant remember the ins and outs of how the NFL makeit up every year to give the Pats at least 367 extra picks

Chris Harris hasn't been traded because the Broncos want a helluva lot more than a 3rd or 4th for the No. 5 CB in the league...

^^^ Me thinks that Sanu (2nd rounder) trade will drive up the price for others, namely Sanders & AJ Green. Sanu is a nice addition to any team but a 2nd? Falcons may have won this one.

If we could just get Sanders for a 4th ... it's a wrap.

The Failclowns had the advantage of Sanu being under contract next year too (and for a decent salary at $6.5 mil.) I think that was a big selling point. Fingers crossed other GM’s won’t expect that kind of compensation.

For that compensation though, no thanks.

** Welp **

You are right, that is a lot to give up.

It's the Pats fault by giving a damn 2nd for Sanu.

Still sucks though.

Not much left out there in the FA market for WR's ...

Parker, AJ Green ?

I wonder what Plan B is on Metarie Dr. Gotta believe Sanders was our guy.

AJ? Parker? Dez?

Any interest there Diz?

I hope I'm wrong but trotting out inexperienced rookies (Jordan H), a vet who can't seem to catch a cold (Carr) and a unhealthy Tre & Kirkwood (IR) etc is asking for trouble come playoffs.

I don’t know at this point. There’s Parker like you mentioned... but I feel like he’s been on the trade block for years and nobody cares. I’ve heard Jets WR Robby Anderson is on the block. There’s probably a bunch of guys available that just don’t have much value.

I’ve heard a few rumblings about Giants TE Evan Engram being available. That’s an intriguing one.

Another interesting name Katherine Terrell floated out there... Titans WR Corey Davis.

Is he an upgrade over what we have on the roster not named Michael Thomas ?

He's actually pretty damn good. He gets no attention because he plays for the Titans. He'd do well here. And he's way younger than the other options out there.

ChrisXVI 10-22-2019 02:47 PM

Re: 2019 Saints NFL Free Agency

I don’t really know how good Corey Davis is. I’m not sure why the Titans would trade him either. They have a nice, young WR group of Davis, AJ Brown and Adam Humphries.

I think we should just go all-in on AJ Green.

I want AJ too, but its gonna cost a second, or multiple picks in later rounds. He's still not healthy, and has had a lot if durability issues in recent years. I just don't know if he's worth the price right now.

But we all know what happens

Pats give up a 2020 2nd rounder(28-32 pick)

Sanu plays two years and becomes a FA in 2021

2022 Pats get a 3/4th round comp pick for losing him in FA.

Midseason 2022 Pats pick up Sanu on waivers after he's cut by team X after overpaying him
