(if you just chuckled then you understand)

Its when the probabilities come in to play and you realize that Goodell has never done the Saints a favor, and the league has never done anything to make them a better team.

I originally stated that this was not a this year item because it isn't, if there was a probability it is for next year.

Loomis will not sign AB without knowing what the Commissioner's intentions are. The Commissioner is not going to announce his attentions because the league has enough fights on its hands and telegraphing that AB will be on the exempt list is asking for a media fire storm and speculations of racism etc... who needs that crap. The commissioner MUST investigate and cant let AB just walk or risk having every women's rights and anti abuse league/group screaming in the media.

The Commissioners list was not intended to be a punishment it was intended to be a pause while there is an investigation.

This is a next year thing if at all because there is no time for due diligence on all sides to satisfy professionalism as well as public scrutiny.
So they haven't time to investigate yet, for ...what... the past 12 weeks?

They have had had plenty of time to investigate. As I pointed out in a previous comment somewhere, the league has no reason or motivation to spend money on an investigation.

When AB was released by the Patriots it ROYALLY screwed him, he is not an NFL employee and has no team or NFLPA to fight for him.

That makes this an off season issue if a team pushes the league to do something.

Right now he would have to Lawyer up and take the NFl to court to force an investigation but even he is not going to spend money on that not knowing if a team would take him.

Yeah the only way they clear him is if he can get a injunction out to stop a suspension. Realistically he should win that case but with the pull the NFL and its owners have he might not win.

If he's done what he's accused of he is a scumbag. But I'm always suspicious when instead of people wanting a legal case they decide they'd rather go fir a cival case fir money, where the burden of proof lies more in blackening someone's name and slandering them rather than legal proof.

If there is no legal case the NFL should not ha e the ability to blacklist players like it does.

When the new CBA comes up the players need to Mane sure they've got savings and strike if needed as the league has step way over bounds with things lately

"Two receivers to the left, Garcon to the right. Manning in the shotgun, puts Collie in motion. Looks in his direction...it's picked off! It's picked off! It's Tracy Porter again! He's runnin' free! He's gonna go all the way!

They do and they always will, the CBA and their hiring contracts cover a ‘conduct detrimental to the shield’ clause. It’s in the same spirit that the military uses ‘conduct unbecoming an officer’ to dole out disciplinary action.. It’s the same basis for brands to terminate the endorsement from someone that becomes the face of the brand and then does something that damages their self image... ergo the brand.

If players don’t like it they can start selling Pontiacs.
