1) Nothing is precluding him from playing at this point if signed by a team as things stand now. 2) The commissioner has the authority to place a player on the exempt list IF it is warranted. 3) Past players have only been placed on the exempt list when formally charged. 4) Brown has not been formally charged with any crime. 5) There is no formal active league investigation into Brown's supposed activities. (Admittedly there has most likely been looking into the affairs) 6) A couple of members here had mistakenly assumed that he would not be allowed to play until cleared of any wrong doing based upon the results of an investigation that does not exist. 7) I simply pointed out the above facts to help clarify the matter.
