Payton just refuses to commit to the run now. Gets way too pass happy and Brees either checks down or throws into double coverage, nothing in between. |

Re: Payton's Play Calling
Yep. Ted Ginn is done.
Saints cannot ignore the WR situation any longer. It cost us a chance to advance in the tournament. Zimmer's back ground is all defense and he knew Sean P tendencies. He did what most were afraid of ... taking away our biggest threat, limiting Michael Thomas & daring other WR's to beat you. This was one of the worst WR rosters NOT NAMED MT I've seen under Sean Payton in a long time. |

Re: Payton's Play Calling
The possession where they forced the ball to Kamara three times and then punted still aggravates me plus I’m still don’t understand calling that deep pass for Brees that lead to his INT

Re: Payton's Play Calling
I can’t believe we never tried something with Lil’Jordan Humphrey. A slant, a seam route where he could outmuscle a DB on a jump ball, a crossing route, anything...
I get not having trust yet or familiarity, but damn it man just try something. |

Re: Payton's Play Calling
All I can say is Sean Payton has his "favorites" on offense ... for whatever reason that is.
But I agree XVI, the Saints desperately needed a spark. Whose to say Humphrey couldn't make a play if you throw it in his direction? Ginn should have been benched weeks ago. SP is stubborn. "Saints became the first-ever team to lose in the Wild Card round of the NFL playoffs after completing a regular season with 13 or more wins". Frustrating. |
