Re: 2020 NFL Free Agency: New Orleans Saints
So is it time to push the bail-out button with Marcus Davenport and inability thus far to stay healthy as some have suggested with Anzalone?
Do we go Free Agency? Day 1 pick in the draft? |

As for Anzalone, the medical red flags were there yet we still gambled in the draft. So far it hasn't paid off. Love his speed, the ability to react and force fumbles … yet in Nov/December he can't help us due to injuries. In my eyes, linebacker is a serious need. Demario, Michael Thomas … get these guys some legitimate help & players who don't miss work on Sundays. |

Had a friend of mine who attended the Bucs / Saints game mention he saw Nick on the field EARLY with a positional coach working his pass blocking drills and techniques. Only a handful of others (Michael Thomas, Brees, Morested, Cam/Gardner J * etc) … you know the over achieving guys trying to take every opportunity to get better at their craft. I don't know if Nick is the long term solution at G, but I do know that Peat isn't. |

Re: 2020 NFL Free Agency: New Orleans Saints
Byron Jones, CB
Robby Anderson, WR Corey Littleton, LB Robert Quinn, DE We address every level of the defense and our primary weakness on offense. Speed at LB, another press-man corner, and speed on the edge opposite of Cam Jordan to add to the rotation. Robby Anderson is an upgrade over an aging Ted Ginn and a consistent deep threat. I’d then go Justin Jefferson in the first round to add to the slot and solidify our receiving core. Pick up a running back like Cam Akers, another speedy linebacker to match up with Davis and Middleton, and perhaps another TE. Done deal. |

Re: 2020 NFL Free Agency: New Orleans Saints
That Lisfranc injury worries me. I’ll give him the all-important third year before really breaking out the bust label though. We tried to sign Ansah and Robert Quinn last off-season and I don’t think we should stop looking for that edge depth. Maybe a change of scenery would do well for a guy like Shaq Lawson.

Watch Scherff in action vs the Saints make a terrific adjustment to combo-block a stunt by two great defensive linemen in Cam Jordan and Alex Okafor...

Joe Shobert is the one defender I'd love to sign to the Saints defense with Scherff on offense...
