Re: 2020 NFL Free Agency: New Orleans Saints
If I'm Clowney's agent, knowing my client, I'd advise him to turn down "one year" or "prove it deals" because that's all he'll get till he can't play no more - so he wants guaranteed Big Mo'...
We shouldn't be those guys... |

On the flip side, I'd still take a flyer on a proven vet that can get to the QB … consistently. Clay Matthews had 8 sacks (rotational role) in 13 games, 37 tackles and 2 forced fumbles and could come cheap. |

Clay Matthews makes alot of sense.
Clowne has never been close to what was expected of him, yet in his mind he is that and more. Griffen would be great too |

One thing I'd like about bringing in Clay Matthews is what he could teach young players Trey Hendrickson, Alex Anzalone, Kaden Ellis, among others...

Davenort Often injured?
Look at the Pro Football Reference Statistics Clowney missed 15 games in his first 2 years 4.5 sacks 0 forced fumbles Davenport missed 6 games in his first 2 years 10.5 sacks 4 forced fumbles Perception ISN'T REALITY |

Bottom line we have 2 solid pass rushers, both DEs, if we lose one then the other gets double teamed and our pass rush is gone. There isn’t much on the free agent market when it comes to DTs so I am hoping one falls to us in the draft. |
The Saints are 0-42 when running the ball less than 15 times in a game.

God forbid anything happens (played hurt vs Vikes playoffs) to Cam Jordan in 2020. Guy plays almost every defensive snap.
Davenport is a physical freak but he has to stay healthy. |

Re: 2020 NFL Free Agency: New Orleans Saints
The fact that none of these guys signed yet suggests they're asking too much guaranteed money or there A.J. may not fall to us as an option in the draft...
