You get rid of DeAndre Hopkins and Carlos Hyde(1000 yard season) for whatever is left of Cooks and David Johnson and the huge contracts and Randall Cobb on a 3 year 27ml deal. So you go from a top 2 WR in the league to having 2x smallish No2 receivers |

Just looked at the Texans WRs
Its a great complimentary core Stills, Fuller, Cobb, Cooks. Of all the experienced receivers they have Stills is the biggest at 6'1. Could see Watson demanding a trade in the next 2 years |

Re: 2020 NFL Free Agency: New Orleans Saints
Trading a 2nd round pick for Cooks just two weeks before a draft that’s historically deep at WR is so confusing.

Re: 2020 NFL Free Agency: New Orleans Saints
If they could just keep Cooks on the outside where he could focus on just being a big play threat and not as a WRx, then they should recoup their investment...
It'd take a couple of seasons before Cooks fortitude of taking a blow to the head could be tested... The guy that I really feel for in Planet Houston is J.J. Watt... Probably the Best Defensive End in the last twenty-five years and will never get to sniff a Superbowl because of a Head Coach with unlimited personnel power... Where've we heard that before? |
