Cooks contract is 12/13/14ml a year for next three years. And he's one hit from a potential retirement. Why are the owners giving him this power. Its like he self sabotaging the team to bring the price down.

You get rid of DeAndre Hopkins and Carlos Hyde(1000 yard season) for whatever is left of Cooks and David Johnson and the huge contracts and Randall Cobb on a 3 year 27ml deal.

So you go from a top 2 WR in the league to having 2x smallish No2 receivers

They have to resign Watson someday that’s going to cost coin. They dumbassed cooks to Houston in a head scratcher . But they can reload with a top wr in draft still on the cheap. It’s either the dumbest crap we’ve ever seen or the smartest?

Trading a 2nd round pick for Cooks just two weeks before a draft that’s historically deep at WR is so confusing.

Just looked at the Texans WRs

Its a great complimentary core Stills, Fuller, Cobb, Cooks.
Of all the experienced receivers they have Stills is the biggest at 6'1. Could see Watson demanding a trade in the next 2 years
