Yea camp bodies like Colston. There was also a camp body named Brady that worked out ok. You are going to take in every bit of sunshine the Saints blow out of their ass.
I don’t get it. We needed a WR and we could have used other picks for depth. There are always surprises.

For that price he needs to have an immediate impact.
I’ll bet 100 this dude stays inactive AND Sanders only plays about 12 very lackluster games.
The pick is especially concerning given the fact we have no offseason program.
I You said the offseason program is useless but you are about to find out how important it is for players like him who have to get a lot stronger. He is weak.

For what price? Four late round picks for a player rated by the team as a top 40? Seems awful damned cheap to me. My betting limit is $20, so if you are willing to stand behind your declaration I'll take that bet in a second.

To make it clear, you bet Adam Trautman doesn't make the active roster AND Emmanuel Sanders only plays in 12, or less games, and is deemed lackluster in those.

Correct? Of course, this depends upon actually having a season, right?

WR James Proche and CB Bryce Hall still availble?!? Wow...

Trautman can catch but he was like 12 feet taller than anyone else in the field. There will be a learning process in the NFL. I'm sure he will contribute the first year but the speed of the game takes time even for div.1 powerhouses. Probably year 2 will start coming into his own. But he isn't going to be our number 1 option this year at TE anyway and that will help him too

Yeah, Jimmy Graham didn't just step off the bus ready-to-go, he needed time to adjust, learn the game...

Not according to The Dude. Supposedly he remains inactive all year. Oh, and Emmanuel Sanders will play 12 or fewer games and be lackluster.

You know he knows what he's talking about, right?

He didn't have any problems in the Senior Bowl going against all the best talent, so I don't think it's fair to say he looked good only because of weak competition.

He was a QB/CB coming out of HS, so he didn't have much of chance to be recruited highly. He made the transition to TE in week 7 of practice in Dayton - which he had suggested to the coaching staff.

One could say he had to be more determined because he didn't receive any financial assistance in athletics.

Who knows, I'm excited, and I like the draft as a whole.

Maybe Payton plans on signing a FA WR? Come to think about it...is there even any out there worth a damn?

I don't know why anyone debates the picks the saints make... I mean they have proven to be the top team when it comes to drafting. They have the jobs because they take gambles and draft players like Kamara. I recall a lot of people confused and thought we could even get him as a undrafted FA... smh

You understand that everyone has their own opinions about players, decisions, etc right?

And people don't have to agree with the FO or you.

Everyone knows that you ALWAYS agree with and defend the staff.

Why can't you just let people have their own opinions without you saying something snarky or demeaning?

You got that totally wrong, jnormand. I agree that he needs to go. Explain how that was "snarky or demeaning". I was simply saying that we all pretty much agree that Warford is the weak link and needs to go. Hell, the front office agrees or they wouldn't have made the move for Ruiz. I was pointing out that everyone outside of us and the front office most likely agree, as well.

But the speed of the game and competition matter bro, let's not pretend it doesn't. Thats just being dishonest. The NFL is every best college player from each team. It is elite of elite. That said Steve MCNAIR did it as a QB from what like Alcorn or some ****. I never said it was only due to the competition but let's not pretend his numbers would not have been impacted had he played at Alabama, let's say. Either way he can ball, let's see what happens. I dont happen to think he will have a problem, but if you're expecting 80 grabs rookie season you're way off. Plus NFL run complex playbooks. If he has 30 to 49 catches with 7 to 10 this that will be a great rookie season

Still have the 7th round to go but some good players still available that I hope we have a shot at as UDFA’s...

WR Isaiah Hodgins (Oregon St)
WR KJ Hill (Ohio St)
WR Quartney Davis (Texas A&M)
DT Benito Jones (Ole Miss)
LB Markus Bailey (Purdue)

Edit: Scratch Isaiah Hodgins off the list.

Look, I was only stating that the one time he had a chance to go against the best of the best in the Senior Bowl - he was up for the challenge.

Certainly it would would have helped his development if he had gone against the highest level competition week in and week out, not to mention working with staff those programs attract, but it seems like he made the best out of his particular situation.

Seems some people just want to whinge if no LSU player get Drafted, they don't trade back or trade up.

Look at the draft for the last 3 seasons, these people have a damn good idea what they are doing. And there's still plenty of vets out there to fill any holes

Not to mention rookie udfa walk ons

many who might have been their 4 5 6

Saints usually have someone rise to the occasion in the walk on department

Deonta Harris anyone?

I would like to see us sign Stephen Sullivan WR/TE. He showed himself very well during the Senior Bowl week and makes an intriguing red zone guy if he can be developed. Very good downfield blocker.

Never mind, Vikes just took him. I gotta be honest here... it’s not shaping up to be a great UDFA class.

How do you know that? All it takes are the right one or two to make the 90 man roster.

Is there an outside chance, Chris, that they might have identified a few that you were not aware of? I am sure you are all in on the research, but I'm sure you realize that NFL franchises have full staffs with hands on access to ascertain the possible UDFA field.

Not busting your nuts, but maybe a little. ;)

Could be... I’m just talking more in terms of mid-round prospects surprisingly falling to the ranks of the undrafted. This year’s undrafted class will consist of players I really don’t know anything about. I’m excited though to find some true diamonds in the rough.

Could be those mid-round prospects were identified as that by those not truly making the calls in the past. Lots less in depth info on prospects these days. That said, at this point, nobody outside of the scouts have a real clue at this point.

We traded away a 2021 3rd and 6th but the good news is we’re going to get a 3rd round comp pick for Bridgewater and a 6th round comp pick for AJ Klein.
