Too bad, Srgt. Personally, I can't wait for the season to start. For me it's all about the games and nothing else matters. It's just like announcers. Supposedly some people can't stand certain announcers. I'm so engrossed by every game I watch that I don't notice the announcers one way or the other. I'll be tuned in every Thursday and Monday and all day Sunday with the Sunday Ticket game mix up watching eight games at once.

The small percentage not watching are not going to cause Goodell's demise especially since TV ratings should be the highest ever. You'll make either #6 or #7 here on B&G claiming to not watch any NFL this season. Although, I have a feeling if the Saints start off 8-0 that a few of y'all will find their way to a TV set before the season is over.

Edit: Oh, and if college football doesn't play (far, far more likely than the NFL not playing) I'll get at least a couple of Saturday games, too!! I can't wait!

Well said. I'm not watching because it just isn't enjoyable to watch anymore.

The misguided racial politics added in is simply the final straw.

So, you suddenly do not enjoy the game of football any longer? That's sad. I still get tons of enjoyment out of the game. You see, I approach it as simple entertainment. Nothing more. Nothing less.

I wish. But as long as the owners love him he's going nowhere. The league continues to set earnings marks every year. With COVID coming into play this year in game revenues will be down, but what should be record broadcast numbers he'll likely cement his job for as long as he wants it. I'll never forgive him for the witch hunt of 2012, but he has been driving the Brinks truck loaded with dollars for years now.

I’ll probably watch, but I have to say that with the treasure trove of full games on YouTube... I’ve been getting my fix and losing a lot of interest in current NFL.

I just cannot enjoy those "youtube" games, Chris. There's no suspense. On the other hand, I can watch the two worst teams in the league play live on TV and be totally entertained. I am starved for real live NFL right now and, as usual, I probably won't be able to get enough. When you get my age the seasons fly past so fast.

You’re right about there not being any suspense to watching old games. I was born in 1985 and due to my dad being in the Navy I moved around every two or three years and didn’t settle down in the Gulf Coast until 1997. I really became a Saints around 2002 or 03 and the Kyle Turley helmet tossing incident so there’s so many classic Saints teams that I need to catch up on. I’m a defensive minded guy and I’m simply salivating over the late 80’s/early 90’s games.

Just avoid 1980-81. LOL! My dad was stationed in NC and then Arkansas during the late 70's and early 80's. Fortunately that when I was working for the newspaper and ACC Magazine so I had some access to "the wire service" so I could keep up with the Saints even though I couldn't see or hear many games.

Find any Saints game from about 1983 to early 90s. The Dome Patrol started with Bum Phillips. He drafted Rickey Jackson, and was already among the most respected defensive minds in Football. You know his son, Wade. Wade's still using his dad's strategies and techniques, and is still a highly sought-after DC. The fandom really got fun, right after Bum took the bags off people's heads, bringing the team nearly overnight respect, and sugar plum visions for the fanbase and for New Orleans. We didnt get any rings, still, for a long while, but there were many victories, and completely electrifying moments, which would, if you watched them now, bring you to your feet. I'll start you out with this amazing contest. Jimmy the Greek, (also a victim of the "racism" WitchHunt) didnt give the Saints a chance.
