I just personally dont feel the Love I once had for it anymore. I am no longer able to care, and I've lost interest.

Try to get along with people here, ok? lol. I'll always have a place in my heart for Ark-La-Tex Saints fans. I remember that sh**ty picture, and turning my antenna, with vise grips, from my house on Toledo Bend, just happy, if I could actually see the ball. Only to find out the CBS affiliate was showing the Cowboys. I wont forget.
I'll be watching reruns of Sanford and son to gain the real black experience .

Yup. KSLA channel 12. That's exactly why we got Sunday Ticket when it very first came out. Now I'm addicted to it and can't make it without it. I watch every NFL game I can ... live.

I miss game days at Big Woodrows and for the 4 years before the Great Robbery, traveling to NOLA for every home game.

Years before my football watching had dwindled down to Saints only. Football has been garbage for quite awhile but you pull for the home team no matter the contest, tiddlywinks or nuclear war.

Last year, I found free internet streams and put the game in a small window while I did work or played games on the computer. I watched just enough to be able to discuss the game with my elderly Mom.
She really doesn't want to lose the Saints.

She doesn't have whole lot left of friends and family from the "old days" and the Saints are a link back to decades of good times and my Dad.
I haven't spoken to my Mom about football in months. She doesn't seem to be too interested after Drew Brees' fumbled his integrity.

If she still has the desire to hang on I may, again, find an internet stream.

If all the stupidity has finally killed off her fandom, I, personally, will be glad.

Politics has engulfed everything in this country and I will be happy to rid myself of the NFL's part in it.

Wow! You were one of the Big Woodrows gang. I'm getting a faint memory of you. We had that upstairs rocking. When Pope Ed XLIV first proposed on Site X on a thread titled "Houston Saints Fans, Let's Get Together" in '06, 4 of us showed up to watch an Astros game. We actually visited several places, but chose Woodrows. Talk about "Where everybody knows your name." I dont remember if we started out upstairs, but I could probably name all of us. I think they gave us the upstairs, when we started getting big.
I remember now, why I dont remember the first game there. Because it was the Atlanta Game, the Gleason Block, and I was at the Dome. Nobody, us included, expected the Saints to do anything, but, of course, the season was magic, and by the NFCCG with the Bears, we were breaking fire code upstairs, and there was nowhere to park. Hell of a thing we had. I didnt know you were driving to NOLA for home games, also. I thought I was the only crazy one doing the I-10 streak every other week.
Good times.

Good times.
I was flying. Southwest out of Hobby. 6:00 AM departure for Sunday games. In the Quarter by 7:30 AM. Usually Deja Vu for breakfast and the first 3 or 4 drinks. Fly home the next morning. I was solo. My GF is not from around here and thinks NFL football is stupid and incomprehensible. Turns out she is right.

I saw you a few years ago at The Boot in the Heights for a game. You know me by sight but not by username.

Re: Survey: Are you going to watch the Saints this season?

We were part of the Woodrows gang until things started getting dicey with the management. Not sure how much longer it was but when they took an OT game away for the Cowboys it was like to hell with this place now. We gather for games at my moms house now for most games. Now we make a guys trip to the Falcons home games but that’s the only game I make in the dome now a days.

Gone are the days when I would live for the home games so we could make the trip to New Orleans. We would get there around 10am since we had broken up our trip to Lafayette on Saturdays. Damn I miss those days

One of the things that really bothers me about the NFL nowadays is “Next Gen Stats” like PFF. A CB presses with one arm instead of two and OMG he gets a bad grade from PFF and the NFL fan hive mind decides he sucks. It’s just exhausting.

You’re right about there not being any suspense to watching old games. I was born in 1985 and due to my dad being in the Navy I moved around every two or three years and didn’t settle down in the Gulf Coast until 1997. I really became a Saints around 2002 or 03 and the Kyle Turley helmet tossing incident so there’s so many classic Saints teams that I need to catch up on. I’m a defensive minded guy and I’m simply salivating over the late 80’s/early 90’s games.

Just avoid 1980-81. LOL! My dad was stationed in NC and then Arkansas during the late 70's and early 80's. Fortunately that when I was working for the newspaper and ACC Magazine so I had some access to "the wire service" so I could keep up with the Saints even though I couldn't see or hear many games.

Re: Survey: Are you going to watch the Saints this season?

I won't be watching due to the NFL and players going all in on the Left side of politics with the kneeling.

I will check this board to see what people are saying about the games.
