How long have you been a Saints fan?

Flipper Anderson, Richard Johnson, Mike Anderson, Jamaal Charles, Marshall Faulk, Rodney Hampton, Ronde Barber (Twice), Keith Bulluck, Reggie Sutton, Pat Thomas (I was at that game), Rod Woodson, Eli Manning...

Just a sampling of players that had career games against the Saints and single-handedly destroyed, or nearly (Manning) destroyed the Saints...

Naw, not buying that one.
Plus One...

Brees is seeing pass rush that isn't there (he had total fear in his eyes before the half, remarked about it to friends just before he threw the pick and gifted the Raiders a tie game at the half)...

Sanders is likely the second option on most pass plays, but Brees is dumping that ball down too fast (also why Kamara isn't getting as many yards as the field isn't fully spread out, play developed)...

No, Brees is old and when you get old it's gets harder to have your A game every single day; you're still capable, just not every single game...

Now, did Sanders have a bad game, absolutely; one, he's dependent on Brees; two, penalties were ticky-tack but a veteran knows to avoid situations that give officials a flag opportunity...

Brees short passing game stalled out when Payton abandoned the run with Latavius Murray so play-action became a formality, not an effective tool and Brees wasn't looking downfield...

News flash... we're not winning every game.

Move on and on to the next game.

Drew can’t throw a pass over 15-20 yards and if it’s that bad now it’s not gonna get better and the safeties will play down cause he can’t throw down the field. The defense collapsed cause the offense was three and outing like crazy. Sean Payton abandoning the ground and pound in the first qtr was reminiscent to the Vikings game, getting too goddamn cute. It’s working why change it up? He needs to stop smelling his own farts and take what the defense gives you

I can’t understand why Payton won’t use Murray more. He should have been pounding them with Murray early on when we had a solid lead.

Honestly, running the ball can’t save you when you can’t stretch the field. If you can’t stretch the field then you can stack the box, send pressure, and sit on the underneath ****. Cover 1 blitzes will be commonplace.

Re: Defense collapsed, Payton and Drew

You either have to be able to stretch the field or have a legit running threat...

There's a lot of money and draft picks invested in this offensive line and Payton isn't maximizing the investment...

Pound the F**k out of 'em and they won't want to rush the passer in the fourth quarter - this works at bantam, high school, college and pro level...

Murray hadn't been stopped and that's why the play-action short passing game was working early; look at the film, they were on their heels until Payton abandoned the onslaught...

Joe Montana made a career of short passes to great receivers and running backs, so you can win with the short-passing game, but the run game still has to be a threat, and you have to have athletic receivers...

Thomas is out, and Cook and Tre'quan looked like old men with their short-stepping running across the field - they scared...

Sanders has great secondary moves, but they're downfield and he has to be hit in stride to really cause pain to those secondaries...

Now what made Brees incredible in the Saints offense was they could run the ball, throw daggers at all three levels of the field and Brees' game preparation coupled with his pre-snap reads...

Now Brees looks scared, so he's not thinking clearly and he's not effective throwing downfield, that is yards per target and hitting receivers in-stride to maximize YAC and TD opportunities...

The worst part of all this - we can all see it and Payton won't face it...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Amen JP. Why pick up Sanders if you can’t play to his strengths. The square peg round hole deal all over again

Re: Defense collapsed, Payton and Drew

Does anyone believe that Sean/Brees are simply uncomfortable with allowing guys NOT named AK or Thomas to be more involved on offense? Alvin was our leading receiver last night.

Ty, Sanders, Taysom, Callaway & Cook didn't seem to be a priority in the playbook. Really surprised THill wasn't more involved against a young, inexperienced Raider secondary.

Honest question.

You think there in the business of padding their favorite players stats? I can see that giving how Sean does that with Drew. Its not out the realm of possibility
