this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Ok, I don’t know about a throw away society. Sounds like you are really reaching to try and discredit my point about Mahomes and other QBs that are making players based on their mobility having success. Whatever floats your boat....

Re: Taysom Hill - The Pocket Passer?
I want to see machomme without any weapons to throw to , let’s see put him in phillys offense rite now with there trash receivers His boys are the best in the game. Tireek hill catches everything near his body, open or not same for Kelsey take that away and mahomme is one hit away from he could have been.

The rest accounted for the other 22 wins and all were what would be described as "pocket passers". The other three have each shown an ability to protect their bodies and still base most of their game on their arms, as well, unlike the new breed of QB's that are run centric. None of those have proven they can win it all. Or even stay healthy. Of course there are going to be pocket passers that don't win it all. There can only be one a year. |

Re: Taysom Hill - The Pocket Passer?
Not in the same category as the other three. Favre rushed for over 200 yards in a year twice in his career for a 6.1 yards per game career average. Elway had a career rushing average of 14.6 yards per game. Neither would qualifying as running QB's to the point of the three I highlighted.
That said, Mahomes has averaged only 17 yards per game for his career, Rodgers is at 16.6, and Wilson is leading the pack at 31.3 yards per game. |

I'll tell you whose elusive in the pocket. Drew Brees! Just a little shimmy and the defense missed the tackle. I wonder how many players eyes have lit up at the opportunity to sack Drew just to see him slide away from their finger tips?
