DELUSIONAL! Just kidding Guido. You're a die hard fan.....who is a little delusional now and then. It's OK. We all do that. It's why race horses wear blinders.

I'm a little late, but when I heard this news my heart SUNK! THIS IS A HUGE LOSS! We finally had speed and situational awareness from a second linebacker on the field. As someone said, he was a missing piece that really made the whole unit better. I've been so excited watching him since he joined. I see his cousin must have joined this message board, LOL. That's the only way I can rationalize that level of defending.

Situational awareness? Alexander is primarily a great athlete. By no means is he situationally guided in his play. He does his best freelancing.

Hell yes , I called him out for 2 years. Oft injured same injury he had at Florida he’s a back up and it’s how he plays. Slow, gets caught up in traffic often, he does get in on tackles after substantial gains , that’s my grade , that ain’t nothing to worry about though, I’m no expert.

Members here are delusional... look no further than AG and YOU

There are folks on here proclaiming the end of our D, you'll find them if you look.

Check this out ... LEARN ABOUT PFF PLAYER GRADES.

If Anzalone was near as bad as you imply he wouldn't be on the active roster at all.
I actually pointed out where I felt Alex was better than Kwon. How’s that implying he shouldn’t be on this team? We’ll all find out soon enough!

Well, we once had the greatest LB corps of all time; maybe this is just yen yang law, natural balance?

Kwon consist at overrunning plays and missing tackles, our run D got worse and worse with him shooting backside gaps and not closing or overshooting and allowing cut backs. He consistently plays the run undisciplined. However, he is far better at coverage, but not as good as Davis.

I am not advocating for Alex to start... I’d like to see Baun play against CAR, but the true need for us it to get healthy on the D line again.

Edit:
Most of you seem to be short sighted... this D ranked 7th during our worst stretch (first 4 games). This defense has been solid when they don’t commit penalties and allow hidden yards. Since those first 4 games you could argue our next worse would be the last 3 games, all of which Kwon started and we allowed gashing runs... again not all him.

Those of you praising Kwon are the same ones calling for DAs head during the first 4 games of the season. Clueless then, clueless now.
Wait a minute, is the grade for Kwon you're citing the whole season? for when he joined the Saints? or his grade once coaches replaced Anzalone with Kwon?

Again, that last point - the Saints coaches traded, replaced Anzalone with Kwon - that kinda makes this discussion who was better for the defense moot...

And haven't seen anyone saying we're done or we're through, many of us are just calling BS on the position that it's no big deal losing Kwon when among the multitude of arguments against that fallacy,

Saints traded for Kwon and replaced Anzalone with Kwon tells you who the ones who really know think of Anzalone vs Kwon...

And, for what it's worth, there's no one who wants to see Anzalone rebound more than many of us in this discussion...

Then there's the reality Anzalone, finally healthy, seems stunted from his missed time...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...
