I remember Charlie Brown. That was a swing and a miss.

Ruiz just doesn't look good. Maybe something clicks but he sits on the line between one of the best RT in football and a top 10 OC, he spent time with Drew shouting out amd explaining the protection and he just doesn't seem to get it, or at least has multiples plays were he switches off or just looks confused.

I recall Ruiz's movement and down field blocking has been good on a few screen and run plays, so maybe that is a strenght of his game he can build upon.

The coaching staff needs to work with the kid on improving his overall strenght so he doesn't get pushed around by defensive linemen, and they need to teach him to better read and understand blocking schemes.

There is a reason he was picked where he was and that talent doesn't just disappear - I put a lot of it on the coaches as someone looking at it from the outside without knowing anything about what is going on internally.

As a 1st round pick, the Saints have three more seasons to work with him on a rookie contract, so all is not lost.

The thought of potentially having Aaron Donald lining up over Ruiz on wild card weekend is having Taysom Hill wake up with night swearts already

Free agent WR options dwindling… Looks like Michael Gallup has joined Chris Godwin in the torn ACL in a contract year club.

Don't want to see people injured but might actually make one of them affordable in a one year deal. Got 9 months to get healthy, even if you don't get them for first month
