Fitzmagic has the pro experience and enough left in his arm. His mileage/hits taken isn't as high because he's been a backup for various parts of his career. He's also never played for an offense or a coach this adept; in fact he's been with a lot of sorry teams.

Could possibly be a Rich Gannon/Raiders type situation where he gives us a peak year or two as a veteran. If we are looking for this kind of a player to fill the Brees void, could do a lot worse.

The thing with Fitzpatrick is when he’s hot, he’s hotter than the sun but when he’s cold it’s really bad. There’s no happy medium with him

I’m 100% certain we’re rolling with Jameis next season.

The Dolphins will trade Tua and multiple high picks for Watson. The 49ers will trade for Stafford.

The Texans are a mess and have been for years. Watson would get the nod over Winston simply because he is better at taking care of the ball and wil run to pick up yards. The Bill O’Brien experiment was a disaster.

If it could be done within reason, I would love to see what SP could do with him.

Maybe Lee. I’m not a cap expert. I’m pretty sure Loomis and company are though.

Re: Deshawn Watson.... should we?

They are of course
But we have seen the way the run things, there never really much space. Not that that is a bad thing, the problem is what happened this year wasn't and couldn't be account for, everyone was expected a relatively big jump in cap this year or next. You can see they expected to be able to do it with Brees, Alexander, Cooks contract all being able to open the space.

We will see though.

I think a lot of the teams with QB needs ahead of us in the draft will be taken care of via trades and free agency. Teams will trade for Watson and Stafford, and I also think the Patriots will make a trade to bring back Jimmy Garoppolo. Mac Jones probably won’t last until our pick, but he’ll be within striking distance with a small trade-up.

Interesting thoughts Chris. Taking pulse of fans and media around here, I would surprised if they brought Jimmy G back though. stranger things have happened though.

Payton qb's have to have pocket presence. Stafford ? Winston, if Winston could cut his int's in half could be good, cannon arm and has wheels. Draft?

No doubt on Alabama QBs. I guess that brings up a question though...what school has a good QB history from today to going back say 15 years.

Obviously Michigan 🤣

The way you guys feel about Alabama QB's is the way I feel about Ohio State QB's. Fields to me is overrated and quite streaky, I think it's very likely he is going to be a bust.

The real steal I think at QB is going to be Ian Book. But I feel like I'm taking crazy pills because I seem to be about the only person high on him.
