Gotta give him a chance with actual players to help him.
I'm still amazed that 'some people' (see post #409) tried to assess Book's ability based on that game. That was a blood bath brought on by poor management and absurd covid ignorance.

Definitely wasn’t set up for success but he did as well as could be expected. Nobody can question his toughness that’s for sure.

First off, I apologize for hijacking your reply, Dude, but that's how I saw this reference to my earlier post (#409):

I did not refer to Book's ability at all in my post, especially based on that game.

I posted, "We just drafted a project QB in Book. Why draft another right away when we have one that can start (Hill) under contract, and another that is in my opinion much better that we would have a good chance of bringing back in Winston?"

I was at that game and he had no chance at times. There were times when he had someone open, but he's just a rookie and could not be expected to make that deep a read in a progression.

The point of my post was that we had Book already and there is no reason to draft yet another rookie when the one we have hasn't even been given a chance to mature into the position.

Yeah, really like Bruss as a LG upgrade from Peat; trade Peat in a contract redux to get the Saints cap relief, move on from one of Loomis' worse contracts...

Does the aversion to drafting LSU players come to a close with Sean's exit?

I wasn't referring to that post, only to YOU, because the minute people started saying they wanted to see him play you started attacking them for it, myself included, and after his performance you were leading the "he's not qualified" charge. Because you don't know anything unless its on twitter.

I would say nice dodge, but you're not even any good at that.
