Of course it does, because you're too weak and scared to have your own opinion.

It’s not a unique thing so deeply embedded here as you think. This is the only country to fight an internal civil war to stop slavery. It by far is the country in the world with the most variety of races and cultures living peacefully under one flag. I had a good friend I worked with from Ethiopia who won a lottery to be able to leave his country and move here. He told me once he cries when he hears people talk about how racist this country is because “people here have no f***ing clue what real racism and oppression is”. The stories he told me about living and escaping life there turned my stomach. People from around the world risk their lives to come here. How can it be a monstrously racist place if that is so?

I think too much is made of the evils of the past and tearing the country down rather than celebrate, appreciate, and build off of the progress America has made. The NFL has made more black millionaires than any other business in the history of the world. If the league is racist it Doesn’t sound like they are doing a very good job.

How could we not know what real racism is when America created racism fam? The system of race as we know it was created here. They were going off of tribes and religions in the ancient times. Black, White, etc. didn’t exist. That’s unique to here. Why does everybody always want to try and deflect to what other countries did or didn’t do? We’re talking about what happened right here. What happens right here. We don’t live in those other countries. We weren’t bought and sold in those other countries. And “chattel” slavery was created in this one. How is it not deeply embedded when slavery went from 1619 to 1885 predating the country itself and Jim Crow went from 1885 to the 1960’s? How is it not deeply embedded when this country has been OPENLY racist for longer than it existed? Come on man. Y’all can’t be serious with me right now.

But most importantly, if the Japanese still take issue with what the Chinese did I’m never going to tell them their wrong. I don’t believe there was a such a thing as Hebrew people during the reign of Ancient Egypt, but for the sake of the debate, if those people took issue with the Egyptians I don’t have anything to say. That’s their quarrels. It ain’t my business. We don’t need to hear about what everybody else did. We need to deal with our ****.

We seriously need to talk about race in this country. This whole sticking our heads in the sand will only make it worse. Some people just have a if it didn’t happen to me, then it it doesn’t happen approach and that’s wrong. I served for this country and have been called a ni*ger to my face and have been told by some women they don’t date my kind. This is 2022 and this still happens. It’s not everybody but people are still preaching hate. We gotta find some common ground all races and all political parties or this country will tear itself apart

The Egyptian empire enslaved the hebrews way before America came along. Barbary coast pirates of North Africa raided European settlements for white slaves in the 1500s. Black slavers captured Black slaves who were sold to Black slave owners here in the colonies. This is not to say racism was/is not
a part of North America’s history. It obviously is. However, Evidence exists that America did not invent slavery or racism. Dumping that baggage on any group today and saying they are responsible is unfair.

Head Coach Search - Part Deux

Back to the subject at hand.

News on one of the Saints finalists:

Brian Flores or someone who has never coached in any capacity, Josh McCown.

I think most of us here and plenty of Americans think exactly the way you do. I think also that plenty don't realize the flames are being purposely stoked by folks/entities behind the scenes, those with their own agenda. If we commoners can stick together, we can overcome them. Let's show them, shall we?

Clicking like because there's no love button. There's several funny comments right there but I'm trying to be serious.

We need to do better one on one and stop listening to CNN and FOX news.

There are those who trivialize race relations with race cards and race baiting. These people are the enemy of decent human beings all over the world.

We need to LISTEN with no judgement - all of us.

Rez thought I was uncomfortable with talk of racism, nothing could be further from the point. I have learned through wisdom of years not to waste breathe on deaf ears.

Racism is about what is on your heart. No legislation, Rooney rule, bill or amendments will ever get rid of racism. If you have hate in your heart it is there and a law can't remove it.

Love America, there is no other country in the world that 14 % of the population can have such an impact.

To have someone who was a head coach claim racism, kinda has bad optics.

It is impossible to have a "logical" debate when the topic is emotional.

Not going to engage...emotion isn't a solution.

Anyway, back to sports...you poked the bear if you don't want to hear it, don't ask.

It's not important if you are trying to push a narrative. I think USA has been a country for 245 years or so, the 400 year thing is not history of America as a country it is narrative history. There is no need to continue the discussion, it is an emotional debate not a logical, factual debate.

I appreciate your passion but it isnt a discussion in which a winner can prevail.
