If Mark holds himself accountable, who am I to argue? If you rewatch it he had a loaf of bread in one arm as he was being tackled when he got stripped. See image attached, that’s when he fumbled, bread in the left arm, right hand not securing the ball. |

You sign Dalton in case your starter cannot play. You play him then IF your starter cannot play OR IF you believe that backup can play better than your starter (injured or not). Perhaps what they have seen in practice doesn't give them that confidence.
