Do you rest Winston?

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; So apparently Winston is coming back to practice tomorrow, yet Taysom is getting more reps at QB. From the outside looking in seems like we are getting mixed signals....

Taysom's snaps may have simply been the need for the additional QB in practice drills on the Winston rest day. Who knows? Someone needs to run with the two's.

Yep & it starts with Dennis Allen.

I take what these coaches say with a grain of salt ... same with the media.

Guess we'll see what happens on Sunday but 99.9% of know this, Jameis Winston needs to play better. So far, he's been terrible.

Winston tied for most interceptions. If he is healthy enough to play he’s making awful decisions. If he isn’t healthy enough then why is he playing? His bad throws have caused injuries to a couple receivers.

Really? Injuries to WR's caused by Winston? Which WR's and on which plays? I missed that.

Just sharing what is being shared. It doesn't mean I agree or disagree. Just hoping for the best.

Winston confirmed that he has no thought of sitting out to heal up. He told reporters that he is “preparing to play” and that he’s “absolutely” confident that he’s the best option at quarterback despite not being totally healthy. Winston said he spent the day working on ways to be as close to 100 percent as he can get.

“Getting off my feet, being here working, doing rehab, just focusing on the things I need to work on so I can be a better me on Thursday,” Winston said, via Luke Johnson of NOLA.com. “I’m rehabbing my hip flexors, my ankles, my back, my entire body. It’s a holistic process. I’m doing everything possible to be the best I can be.”

“The pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity. The optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.” — Winston Churchill

I said it last year and I’ll say it again, JW sucks. Hey sucked in Tampa and he sucks here. I’d rather throw in the towel on the season than keep him as a starter. No way TH or Andy Dalton could be any worse at this point

Re: Do you rest Winston?

Injuries have zero to do with decision making.

Surely if his throws were being affected, he'd check down to Kamara more, which he doesn't.

Winston's decision making has always sucked. TheOak posted his collegiate weaknesses the other day, it literally summed up everything we are seeing.

This is something I never want to see my Saints do.

Re: Do you rest Winston?

(JUST RANTING)

I am tired of Winston holding the ball longer than expected for the big play or overlooking a wide open Kamara & Thomas just for a deeper route. Thomas & Kamara are known for their YAC (Winston not giving them opportunities). If you check down or get the ball out quicker the OL will develop better. The WRs play will be better. Check down and the Big Play will come (STOP TRYING TO FORCE IT DOWN FIELD). I am really missing Payton right now cause that risk it or no biscuit mindset will not be in Winston mindset.
