But I was using that old example of Gardner-Johnson being an irritant. If he had done it before, whether totally resolved or not, it shows that he can be a distraction. Not saying that's what happened, but stressing that we don't know all that was involved in the decision to move him.

It's like the deal between Brees and Malcolm Jenkins. That was a hundred times more intense and Jenkins stated since that they love each other like brothers and that's all in the past. If they can do it surely Gardner-Johnson and Thomas can over a stupid little camp scuffle.
Oh, and Thomas was not sent home for a week for what happened with Gardner-Johnson. According to Payton he was sent home because got into it with a coach AFTER the incident You need to get your story right, my friend.
