What killed us the past couple of years was not only did we lose starters to injury, we also lost their replacements to injury. We were down to third stringers and special teamers starting. Nobody in the league can go that deep without suffering the consequences. And we lost the most important position, starting QB. I know some might say SF did, too, but did they lose 3/4th's of their offensive line and three of their top WR's, as well? No. No they didn't.

There's not a team in the league that can cover that type of loss of starters AND backups and compete.
Then either the turf, training program, or strength and conditioning has to be at fault.

Re: Evaluating Coaches

We consistently post a record number of backups starting for injured players. We're going to need a bigger hot tub if we can't stop these rash of injuries from happening again. Something has to give, and I hope it's not our players health again.

Well, does anyone have opinions on Doug Marrone and the rest of our coaches? Douggie only got one year in Alabama before Nick Saban cut him loose. His blocking schemes are atrocious and we all knew DC4 was going to get hurt behind this O line. Just not this soon.

I wondered if it would. I'm not as excited about Dougie Marrone as I was when we first brought him back.

Bump ...

It's time to relieve Pete Carmichael of his play calling duties.

Time for the organization to let go of yesteryear.

Allen should be next.

+1

We have no player left on this roster from the Super Bowl era, time to do the same with coaches…specifically our OC and head coach to start

Re: Evaluating Coaches

Same tendencies offensively, every single week.

Now you have Underhill, writers and former players (Lance M) calling you out ... Dennis either makes a change (demotion or fire), or he'll go down in flames with Pete.

This guy calls plays like it's 2011-2012 and Brees is still under center.

Argubly the worst (Canada is equally bad) playcaller in the league.

If they go up to Foxboro next Sunday and stink it up ... oh boy.

I’m saying “oh boy” right now.

Re: Evaluating Coaches

Apparently Carmichael did not learn a thing from Payton. What was he doing for all those years? As for Allen he's good at defense not so much as HC material. It's frustrating because of all the talent they have on both sides of the ball. As for Carr I knew he would not be the answer. He looks uncomfortable. I don't see a future for this team at this time and I'm not getting any younger.
