Re: Evaluating Coaches
Well, does anyone have opinions on Doug Marrone and the rest of our coaches? Douggie only got one year in Alabama before Nick Saban cut him loose. His blocking schemes are atrocious and we all knew DC4 was going to get hurt behind this O line. Just not this soon.

Bump ...
It's time to relieve Pete Carmichael of his play calling duties. Time for the organization to let go of yesteryear. Allen should be next. |

Re: Evaluating Coaches
Same tendencies offensively, every single week.
Now you have Underhill, writers and former players (Lance M) calling you out ... Dennis either makes a change (demotion or fire), or he'll go down in flames with Pete. This guy calls plays like it's 2011-2012 and Brees is still under center. Argubly the worst (Canada is equally bad) playcaller in the league. If they go up to Foxboro next Sunday and stink it up ... oh boy. |

Re: Evaluating Coaches
Apparently Carmichael did not learn a thing from Payton. What was he doing for all those years? As for Allen he's good at defense not so much as HC material. It's frustrating because of all the talent they have on both sides of the ball. As for Carr I knew he would not be the answer. He looks uncomfortable. I don't see a future for this team at this time and I'm not getting any younger.

Pete Carmichael.....It's time for a sabbatical too. Buh Bye! Dougie Marrone? Is he senile or something? Maybe he should be tested....and I don't mean by the other teams front four like the last four weeks. I keep hearing that he's got a lot of skins on the wall and was a good coach before. Even though, when he left I forgot who he was. He's not very good. Nick Saban fire him after just one season. If you're an LSU fan you will get a kick out how crappy the O line was. If I remember correctly, the Saints were putting out some good O line players when he was here but they were tremendous players in spite of him. |
Re: Evaluating Coaches
What are the options to replace PC? Curry? Gruden? Something has to give and it doesn't need to be the Saints fans giving up.

How much longer will DA hitch his wagon with Pete as OC?
You wanna bench Penning … fine. Bench Peat .. I understand. But at what point do you start getting rid of coaches? Or demotions? Pete is holding this offense back as a signal caller. We can’t score tds. I’m not even including the Pats win. They’re awful. Something has gotta change with the play calling. |

Curry addressed the team at half time rather than Carmichael. I don't know if he took over the play calling but it seemed like we finally found a little rhythm late in the game. |
Re: Evaluating Coaches
It's not the play caller but the QB running the play. Ultimately it's the HC for pulling the right strings ... which he isn't right now .

Re: Evaluating Coaches
LD Bell (Dennis), Pete C, Carr … take your pick.
They’re ALL under performing. |
Re: Evaluating Coaches
We need a new Head Coach.

There. Is that better? We need a new Head Coach. How’s this one… Tell Loomis to take a hike. More to your liking? |

Pete Carmichael is still calling good games now and then. Maybe he can make it happen a little more often now that he reads the bng. :bng: |
