IMHO he hit all the right notes and highlighted how important Dennis, Pete, Mickey, Mrs Benson, the Mannings and Drew’s personal insight to the way this organization at the end of the process operates made him want to be in the Saints Family … WhoDat!!!

As he said at one point to paraphrase “time to get to work and make potential into results”.

I bet stuff about the city, nice places to live, schools and such are a lot mor important to a guy in his thirties with 4 kids than it would be to a 24 year old bachelor. Lucky us that he had some great people to seek advice from.

I wasn't that excited when I first read about the Saints interest in Carr but I'm warming to him. I'll always root for whoever* we put behind center.

Nice interview with Jen Hale at the Pels game.

Re: New Orleans Saints signing quarterback Derek Carr to four-year deal

I always pulled for Derek Carr because it's obvious that he has his priorities straight and I like his pocket presence. He was drafted by the Raiders and floundered along with the rest of the team for nine years.

Carr has strong ties to his faith. You can look at his family and see that he is raising children with strong core values too. The photos of Drew's and Carr's family are eerily similar. Here's to Carr being the Savior like Drew.

Hopefully, he can be the calming influence we've needed to fill the leadership void since Drew retired and Sean went on sabbatical, before being traded to Denver. The team lacked direction last year and hopefully Carr is the rudder needed to steer us back in the right direction again.

I guess I'm gonna have to wait and let Carr and Gilkin figure out #4 before a Jersey drop.

This. Right there. Makes me so happy. I'm so excited for the coming season. Especially after listening to him a couple posts back Guido made where he is talking to that reporter in the stands. How he has already been so embraced.

I told my wife. When we signed Carr, I felt like Christmas had come early. It was just such an amazing feeling. And... to top it off, cast away just like Drew was. This is going to be an amazing season I feel.

The Season Can't start soon enough.
