Nick truly enjoys taking the most contrarian positions to the extreme, I tape the show daily and watch so can skip right past these five states that he goes too.
Enjoy Broussard and Kevin Wildes but that kind of strident take is Nick’s “Stick / MO”. At times Nick can be entertaining, informing but often just aggravating and silly as all get out. When he goes there I just click the mute button because there just some things in life there is no reason to expose yourself to. |

Re: New Orleans Saints signing quarterback Derek Carr to four-year deal
Mixed feelings. As far as character and leadership Carr is 100% what we need. It's a big back-loaded contract though and we risk some serious buyer's remorse post 2023. The whole thing feels a bit like the Vikings/Cousins deal - overpaying for a stable second-tier QB.
I'd also love to see a comparison on the deal that he had with the Raiders versus the one we just signed him to, and which one will eventually pay Carr more. Regardless, I bet the old contract was a no-go due to our limited cap space. I still think we should draft a QB and groom him for the future, with Taysom and Derek certainly two good guys to learn from. Getting a Bridgewater or Dalton etc. seems redundant. |

I’m excited to see what the offense does with Carr. If Allen can’t get this team decent with Carr at QB then he deserves to be **** canned.

Not a bad deal considering Geno Smith just signed for 3 years $105 mil.
$2.5 mil per year less than Carr. |
