Very valid point. They seem happy so I am too.

This gives us greater flexibility in who we're going after in the FA and draft. I'm kinda hoping for a big ol' DT or a real mauler at LG in the first round.

The fact that Cam Jordan is vouching for him is all I need to see. Just hoping the coaching staff don't screw it up.

alright, now get to work. Maybe could have arguably done better, but could have been much, much worse. I like it, let's go!!

Re: New Orleans Saints signing quarterback Derek Carr to four-year deal

Oh, how the Saints did yearn and pray,
For a champion to lead the way,
To triumph in the great game's fray,
And bring the Lombardi home to stay.

And lo, from distant Raider land,
Came Carr, with ball in hand,
A leader true, with skill so grand,
To lead the Saints to victory's stand.

With poise and grace he took the field,
And with each pass his foes did yield,
His arm a sword, his will a shield,
Against all odds, he would not yield.

The crowds did roar, the stadium shook,
As Carr and the Saints did overtook,
Their foes, with skill that few could brook,
Their path to victory was not forsook.

And when the final whistle blew,
The Saints and Carr had seen it through,
Their Super Bowl dreams had come anew,
And all of New Orleans danced in view.

So let us raise our voices high,
To Derek Carr, the Saints' great guy,
Whose arm and heart did never shy,
To lead his team to victory nigh.

Re: New Orleans Saints signing quarterback Derek Carr to four-year deal

Some of the bullet points that led to Carr signing;

- Stable Ownership.
- Competent stable front office.
- Offensive scheme
- Input into the game day planning, ie Dot play selection.
- Drew Brees constructive discussion of inside the Saints front office, coaching
staff, team culture in QB to QB 1 on 1 briefing.
- The Offensive Coordinator briefing DC on the offense being structured for DC
was key to it coming together in selling DC on the Saints.

I sure some or all of these points will cause various levels of discomfort to some.

Relief, gratitude with expectations now for an excellent 2023 and beyond For most.

Welcome to the Saints Nation David Carr …. Championship 👏👏👏

Drew freaking Brees man, even in retirement he's giving his all for the team.

Couldn't have asked for a better person to be the history of our franchise.
