A couple of days ago I posted an estimated contract structure for Carr with a $7.9 million 2023 cap hit. Pretty close. Even better.

Some of the bullet points that led to Carr signing;

- Stable Ownership.
- Competent stable front office.
- Offensive scheme
- Input into the game day planning, ie Dot play selection.
- Drew Brees constructive discussion of inside the Saints front office, coaching
staff, team culture in QB to QB 1 on 1 briefing.
- The Offensive Coordinator briefing DC on the offense being structured for DC
was key to it coming together in selling DC on the Saints.

I sure some or all of these points will cause various levels of discomfort to some.

Relief, gratitude with expectations now for an excellent 2023 and beyond For most.

Just listen to Colin Cowherd and J-Mac agree Saints was the best choice for David Carr … Because … Saints have the best roster between Jets, Carolina, Atlanta and Tampa Bay. Add to that a top 5 defense.
