Many candidates with the traits of understanding the game, leadership skills, and charisma often choose the glamor of broadcasting and being able to put head coaches on their toes with tough questions over the thankless job of working their way up from the rank of assistant and fending off scrutiny from broadcasters. We are not the only team to be trotting out damaged goods retreads or failed projects at tackle or head coach.
