this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I like the 6th & 7th round picks. Haas & Streif are both solid players. Maybe the day will be saved....

and i think this is the baest complete draft we have had in some time. i really like th guys we added and think they will help us. i think we already have quite a few stars. now we need some guys to go out and be grunts. just hard workers who don't take a play off and are football smart. i think we have got that in this draft. you may not know these guys but probably no one knew brady or expected him to be what he is. probably no one thought bockwoldt would turn into as quickly as he did a decent player. we got some football players and i like that.

spkb. while I love your enthusiasm, Bockwoldt would be a special teamer at best for any other team in the league. I like our late round picks, but in the 2nd, 4th, & 5th, I feel like we reached. The character bios on these guys are great, but there were better players (without character problems) in those rounds.

And most of the players you are thinking of, gandhi, felt to either the third or fourth round. The entire NFL had the same problems with those players as we did

hey ghandi it isn't about them not having chracter problems it was about some guys taking plays off and i am not saying that is for sure the case with those guys. i don't know. some of those guys you talk about will end up being reserve guys their entire career. you know like a fat arse name sully. simple as that. they are smart and work hard and that is enough for me. i have said that when i watched some teams last year they were losing but they fought hard. not like us going out and getting the ever living **** kicked out of us by a team that hadn't won a game and ended up qwinning only 4 for the year. but they dropped like a 50 spot on us. and that wasn't the first time under haz that that happened. give me guys that fight and i will take that every time. with those type of guys it is only a matter of time until you win.

All this character talk makes me think of one thing - "I want a bunch of Grabowski's."
Danny Weurfful, Troy Davis, Rob Kelly, etc. That didn't work so good. |

I agree. I just don't like using a mid-rounder for a guy that would have probably been there in the later rounds.
