I'm definitely not underestimating Strief. I remember the day he was drafted and I was excited about the pick. He's filled in and did an admirable job a couple of years ago for Brown... but let's not kid ourselves and say he can easily replace our Pro Bowl LT. People can call Brown overrated all they want, but he's arguably our best lineman and an excellent pass protector. Yes he has his mental lapses with his false starts, but let's not undervalue how valuable he is to our line... to our franchise. Losing him would definitely hurt the strength of our offense... Drew Brees and our passing game.

trading a proven pro bowl left tackle for a guy who has yet to take a snap in the nfl is plain idiotic!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This would have been a lot easier if we would have signed Shuan Rogers.

jammal brown my have proven to you that he is a probowl player just b/c he made one doesnt mean that is what he is... and he hasnt proved it to me.. i believe that he made the probowl off the play of the rest of the offense and not b/c of what he accomplished that season.. i dont think he as good as advertised. and he certianly isnt an excellent pass protector since he always has problems against the faster DEs like peppers and simion rice (before he was hurt)... its just my opinion though

Hmmm, what are the talks with Oakland and New Orleans sound like now.

i think oakland is going to draft dmac and the chiefs are much more likely to trade down a little.. than the jets. so i think that's who we need to deal with..

KC get Brown and still have a boat load of picks.
They can always trade back up and get Ellis, Albert, Rivers or a top CB they will be happy.
