See see the reason you don't trade with the Fins is because word was out they were in negociations with Long. They aren't taking 'your' guy, there is no sense to trade with him if your guy is still going to be on the board. You go deal with the next guy who might want or may consider him Dorsey.

I don't feel a team should 'over reach' for a player, when you know he is going to be on the board.

Saints are offering them a great deal I think it would be hard to pass up. They are getting a Starter on the OL as well as a DE that they need at 10 in Harvey who can come in and start. Anytime you can walk away from a deal with 2 starters I say it win.
