Offensive Playcall Concerns
Is it me or has it seemed like the past 2 weeks some of the offensive play calls have been.... meh.
Don't get me wrong, not complaining, but today the calls on the goal line, a few missed 4th down and 1's... Was it the Jets D, or our play call combined? |

Re: Offensive Playcall Concerns
i didnt like going for it 4th and 1 early in the game, but other than that i think drew has been a bit off the last few weeks. im starting to wonder if that shoulder injury is bothering him more than theyre letting on.

I dont think Drew was off. I dont know if you guys were watching the game but the Jets corners were freakin good. Revis is a beast. He contested every ball Drew Brees threw his way. Only time Brees had sucess was at the middle of the field.

Re: Offensive Playcall Concerns
I liked it. I thought we showed confidence, not desperation.
[QUOTE=WVSaint;168595] but other than that i think drew has been a bit off the last few weeks. im starting to wonder if that shoulder injury is bothering him more than theyre letting on. Keep in mind that Drew was throwing into very tight coverage today. Basically, he was throwing passes that could only be caught by our receivers. I did notice that the overthrew players for once. |

Re: Offensive Playcall Concerns
play calling could have been better. With that kind of pressure there should have been more quick slants.

Re: Offensive Playcall Concerns
Back when the defense was that bad, I think he would have punted. Now that we have a respectable defense, we can afford to take some chances. If those plays would have went our way, the game could have been blown wide open. It's quite comforting to know the defense has the offense's back.
