How about the league have a best of seven series and winner gets the team name?!? Seriously, would be interested in seeing interviews with Van Noy... |

I haven't heard him mention any team. He's saying all the right things, which is really smiling and talking but not saying anything. He's blessed, he was part of a great defense. He's honored yadda yadda.... The local sports radio guys think he's going to go in the middle of the first round. I've heard the Cowboys and Bears mentioned a couple times. I've also read that he spoke with the Packers. Haven't heard the Saints mentioned at all. And I don't know if the Cougar fans would like the idea of him going from BYU to Bourbon Street. (they serve alcohol there!!!) He was a star here. The BYU coaches say he's a workaholic. He constantly studies film. They compare him a lot to Eric Weddle when it comes to his work ethic. He's a kind of a hero in Provo for the way he handled his Honor Code violations. I've attached a local news station write up. The news station is owned by the LDS Church and they're known to be very "Pro BYU". Kyle Van Noy is the best defensive player in BYU history | KSL.com U of U fans, on the other hand, say he's going to be too small and not fast enough at the NFL level. (Utah and BYU are only about 45 miles apart and they hate each other) But all that being said, I don't know how much is real and how much is hype. The one thing both sides agree on is that his fiance' is smokin hot. BYU Stud LB Kyle Van Noy Engaged To Marissa Powell, Miss Utah USA 2013 About the Jazz name, every Utah fan that I've met thinks it's crazy that Utah has the name, there's no Jazz music here and the only music this place is famous for is the Tabernacle Choir...but they love it. And none of the fans that I know want to give it up. And they certainly don't want to be called the Choir Boys like I've suggested. A couple were interested in a possible trade for the Saints name though. |

the only real knock on the kid is point of attack. he can run himself out plays and can struggle disengaging a bit once a blocker gets his hands on him If the saints did take him he would draw man coverage on almost 95% of the TE in the NFL on passing downs. something this team has really lacked plus adding a girlfriend like that in the stands is always a plus ![]() do not read much in that 4.71 from the combine. i am waiting on his pro day. 4.71 aint bad at all either If the saints used a standard 34 defense i might say kyle is better off in a strongside linebacker in a 43. but as long as the saints continue to use the base defense Williams installed and the whacked sets additions from last year. i think he could find a home here |

Georgia Tech Jerimiah Attaochu, ND Troy Niklas, Michigan St Max Bullough, Vandy WR Jordan Matthews, OLB Howard Jones, CB Walt Aikens et al are my favorite prospects in the draft (italicized)... Deepest Sleeper with Plus-Athleticism is OLB Howard Jones, Shepherd... Steal Pick is now Jerick McKinnon (Totally Missed This Guy if Not for Sir Lee of Waterford on England)... All-In Trade?!? maybe for OLB Khalil Mack or OT Jake Matthews... Save Lamin Barrow, a 43 LB, not an LSU prospect I like... ...especially don't like either of the LSU WRs with an early pick... Really Like trading back from the first round for a second and third round pick as this is a deep draft and best Top 100 in several years... Re: 2014 NFL Draft
fall into our laps yeah baby. add CJ to the list
hell yeah but gonesolid chance he is gone gone Now we are in reality land all are solid reaches Jordan Matthews, WR, Vanderbilt 6025 212 4.46A big strong and fast WR that puts up numbers no matter who threw to him. whats not to like. route running a pro level tree does need a bit of work. But he has a great chance at becoming that #1 WR the saints have never had Jerry Attaochu, OLB, Ga Tech 6032 252 4.57 (Pro day 3/28 ) Now here is upside drafting with low risk factored in. But still bigger reach. Trade back and land him i would be cool with it i guess. wish he would stayed in the same scheme he player in his Jr year. would have loved to see how he evolved. First off i like My mighty mice in round 1. i usually do not Brandin Cooks, WR/KR, Oregon State 5096 189 4.33 He would give the saints that instant home run threat SP loves and the a player that should have that Darren Sproils "Mess with the defenses" head game effect. The more i think about i swear this is the direction the Saints will go. Especially after giving the defense the #1 FS out there. This is the type of player that can electrify the Dome. Yep the "Bush Factor" Put him in the slot and watch him drive LB and safeties crazy as they try to help out the nickle back. Jimmy would love having him running up the seem with him. Safety standing there picking the poison in coverage help. Even Bryd would be having nightmares Jason Verrett CB TCU 5095 176 4.38 He is one of the best Sneaky Fast CB to come down the pike in a while. IMO he would putting a finishing touch on for the secondary from game one. All that would be left is the fight for the second outside CB position. The saints now could go true man on man against those jitter bug WR. I see him shutting down the slot wr from day one. This is the only CB in this draft that could possible cover Cook and he showed what he could do against LSU. In the pass happy nfl today a nickle back is of more value than he use to be. You need 3 starting CB that can do different things. Best players on the board to get the phones ringing from teams atop the second round and would not kill us to pass on or take. Zack Martin OT/OG Notre Dame 6041 308 Ok he is good but day 1? i put him ahead of Moses but neither should be in round 1, they are solid day 2 picks so here is my reach. Should start right from day 1 at RT and is very Drew friendly at 6'4" Big plus is in 3 years he can slide inside to OG when the big 2 become FA. So he has a very cap friendly appeal down the road. So worth the reach in round 1 in my book. My turn High rewards low risk. Ryan Shazier, OLB/ILB Ohio St. 6011 237 4.36? tremendous athlete hybrid defender. plus he can be moved all around in the defense. i was not sold on him at first but with his speed and coverage skills which i under valued i would start coaching him up at ILB from day 1. Another player a bit small for my liking at both ILB and OLB but solid flexibility is hard to find in an athletic freak like this. Third down LB from day 1 that will be lined up all over the place scare me away players Kyle Fuller CB, Virginia Tech - injuries Bradley Roby, CB, Ohio State - not sold on him after his play last year Kelvin Benjamin, WR, Florida State - big sure but he bumbles |
