Kyle Van Noy is on the sports news here almost every day. It's hard to tell how much is truth and how much is hype.

Utah, what's being said?!?

Has he expressed thoughts regarding specific teams on where he might be selected?!?

Any chance we get our team name back here in New Orleans?

I don't mind the Baseball team being named the Pelicans, kinda like it and the tradition...

But the basketball team?!? How about the league have a best of seven series and winner gets the team name?!?

Seriously, would be interested in seeing interviews with Van Noy...

Re: 2014 NFL Draft

Drafttek latest mock is quite interesting completely rebuilding the line

1 Xavier Su'a-Filo
2 Jack Mewhort
3 Marcus Martin
4 Bashaud Breeland
5 Stanley Jean-Baptiste
6 Ty Zimmerman

Not the most exciting of drafts but it could potentially be very effective

Honestly, I get all my draft news from you guys so I don't know much about the guy other than I see him on a lot of the mocks y'all do.

I haven't heard him mention any team. He's saying all the right things, which is really smiling and talking but not saying anything. He's blessed, he was part of a great defense. He's honored yadda yadda....

The local sports radio guys think he's going to go in the middle of the first round. I've heard the Cowboys and Bears mentioned a couple times. I've also read that he spoke with the Packers. Haven't heard the Saints mentioned at all. And I don't know if the Cougar fans would like the idea of him going from BYU to Bourbon Street. (they serve alcohol there!!!)

He was a star here. The BYU coaches say he's a workaholic. He constantly studies film. They compare him a lot to Eric Weddle when it comes to his work ethic. He's a kind of a hero in Provo for the way he handled his Honor Code violations.

I've attached a local news station write up. The news station is owned by the LDS Church and they're known to be very "Pro BYU".

U of U fans, on the other hand, say he's going to be too small and not fast enough at the NFL level. (Utah and BYU are only about 45 miles apart and they hate each other)

But all that being said, I don't know how much is real and how much is hype.

The one thing both sides agree on is that his fiance' is smokin hot.

About the Jazz name, every Utah fan that I've met thinks it's crazy that Utah has the name, there's no Jazz music here and the only music this place is famous for is the Tabernacle Choir...but they love it. And none of the fans that I know want to give it up. And they certainly don't want to be called the Choir Boys like I've suggested.

A couple were interested in a possible trade for the Saints name though.

I like the guy. he has that sixth sense that you can not coach. he is an over sized safety in my book. solid blither inside or out. good tackler and what sets him apart is the coverage skill , might be one of the best coverage LB to come out in years IMO.

the only real knock on the kid is point of attack. he can run himself out plays and can struggle disengaging a bit once a blocker gets his hands on him

If the saints did take him he would draw man coverage on almost 95% of the TE in the NFL on passing downs. something this team has really lacked

plus adding a girlfriend like that in the stands is always a plus

do not read much in that 4.71 from the combine. i am waiting on his pro day. 4.71 aint bad at all either

If the saints used a standard 34 defense i might say kyle is better off in a strongside linebacker in a 43. but as long as the saints continue to use the base defense Williams installed and the whacked sets additions from last year. i think he could find a home here

Let me get this right...He violated the BYU Mormon Honor Code with an underage DUI..but since has lived by the BYU Honor Code which I believe has a sexual abstinence clause...and he's engaged to that?!?

RED FLAGS ALL OVER THE PLACE!!!

Re: 2014 NFL Draft

Other than Roby I am loving this group of corners. Lots of ballhawks and guys who are physically tough. Verrett seems to be falling down the boards because of his size - if we can get him we'll be set at corner for the next 5-6 years.
