Re: 2015 draft??
Trading back could be great if done right.I would love a #1, 2-#2 and a extra 4th, I got no ideal how to pull that out but if we pick around 7th or 8th I think trading down slowly it could be done, even if we give up next years 7th. Hell we give alot for Ingram and Cooks why wouldn't another team. And while I'm on the subject a couple trades could happen and we clean house in the draft, my nominees are #1Graham- to soft.#2. Bush- much overrated in my book that comment can be said for #1 also.#3. I would defenitly send feelers to teams on JR. ( do a little fishin' to see if you get a big enough bite, if so SET THE HOOK) Graham will net a #1, Bush a #4, and JR.well he might be gold but I would take no less than 2 #2

some solid prospects through the 5th. some solid gambles from there on. Whole bunch the can do that CB to S dance without missing a beat. this has a good chance of being the year of the CB. |

Re: 2015 draft??
Bush may be our best safety and no one will take on JR's contract. Graham could draw some intrest but not enough to unload him. No chance of trades this offseason. Contracts to high with to little play.

fluid movement dropping back into coverage. solid one-on-one match ups with tight ends the kenny test this year was a flop. he is not a true SS so do not be surprised by a safety pick. we do not have a starter at that position and we all know we love safeties. solid back ups but a starter? want to get the most out of the Byrd signing get him some help back there. Then add a CB or two in rounds 2 or 3 or 4. talent is there. all better prospects than SJB. I am betting he would have fallen into the 4/5 or 5/6 range this year. with him on the field it would be like having 4 LB at all times vs this freaking 3 or 4 so so safety look we have now. He is the freak or premier athlete in the draft without all the hyped upside or what if crap surrounding him. he is what he is. a freaking football player that you can get your money out of in more ways than 90% of the players on the saints today. RB LB SS special teams. he can open up a few rosters spots with his pick alone. Shaq as a SS/LB type sealing up the middle of the field. i like the the mix. been waiting for his name to pop up. |

First, your trying to convert a LB/RB to a SS... I don't know where to start with that, because we have had such great success developing talent in the past right... Secondly, there is no need for a true SS because the league is moving away from them all together. Furthermore we have 3 tremendous safeties on the roster already with Byrd, Warren and Bush. Byrd and Warren should start and Bush would be a great backup if one gets hurt; both Byrd and Warren tackle and play the run well so there is no need for a true SS. Lastly, I really hope we don't take on any hybrid type players. Vaccaro is that type of player and we don't know how to manage them. The Saints organization is extremely poor at developing talent on the defensive side so it's important we are drafting players that have a defined role and can start day one. I really dislike the prospect of Shaq for our team. |
