Don't think so as much as he wants to win...now...

Wisniewski and Boling - that's the ticket...

What about Jason Worilds in Pittsburgh?

If they don't tag him they could lose him.

Looked a step slower, would rather go younger and select a player in the draft for OLB...

As cap room will probably be limited with restructuring and releases, I'd rather bolster our strengths and solidify the offensive line...

Project an offensive line of

LT Terron Armstead, age 23
LG Clint Bolling, age 25
C Stefen Wiesniewski, age 25
RG Jahri Evans, age 31
RT Zach Strief, age 31

We definitely start winning the line of scrimmage on offense against teams like Seattle, San Francisco...

And winning the line of scrimmage means winning more games...

Im more concerned with teams like Carolina and what Tampa and Atlanta could be building. Also, with alot of money spent on O line, how do we get a CB?

Wasn't he battling injuries last season? Jason is still relatively young at 26 but I do think Pitt will retain his services.

Re: PFF 2015 free agents

Free agency seems to be New Orleans Saints' best bet on fixing cornerback hole: Larry Holder | NOLA.com

Respectfully disagree with this strategy...

Problem is the pass rush and the bigger problem is to fix the offensive line...

Signing a Boling & Wisniewski combination to supplant the Grubbs and Goodwin failures must be the priority...

Next is an OLB who can cover the flats, stop the run, AND make the pass rush from that side somewhat honest...

Easier to make sure we come away with Boling AND Wisniewski so we have more options to draft; have some doubts about Hudson...

I doubt Peters falls to us who I suspect got stuck in a bad situation with new coaches that didn't recruit nor would he have committed to play...

But overpaying for second rate CBs with no fixes to the pass rush and...

...not allowing Dennis Allen an opportunity to coach up the horses we already have is a mistake...

Veteran FA's for the O line.

Young, athletic guys for the defense.

+1. Pro football.com had a report that stated the Pats of 2014 were the second youngest team to win a SB. The 2013 Seahawks were the youngest at 25.

Yep, youth matters.

I'd like for us to bring Michael Sam for camp atleast. You don't become the SEC defensive player of the year without talent and both the Rams and Cowboys had more skill at the DE/OLB positions than us IMHO.

no way can we over looking the glaring hole at CB. no way. DL was an issue but CB was also an issue. CB is in far worse shape IMO. 1 cb and a bunch of FA projects and bums does not cover it

Re: PFF 2015 free agents

Honestly,I would be happy if we can land a really good center and a really good CB in FA. Everything else can be filled through the draft. It would be nice to know how Devin Breaux is going to play for us so we could possibly use the money for a guard or DT instead of CB.

Training camp... I'll remain cautiously optimistic on Breaux. I would still prefer a seasoned FA vet at the #2 spot.

i like knight a lot but i took him off the list because i think he will cost to much. on the list i am trying to keep cost in mind, players in the draft and prioritize by cost. cb will be the most expensive of course.

age is a guiding force also. knight was a top my list when he left jack and ended up in denver. we missed the big pay day on him, denver ended up with the bargin

so it looks like this really

NT
Terrance Knighton - price too high and i see him in oakland with jack
Dan Williams - next highest
Ahtyba Rubin - bargain upside pick ?
Damon Harrison - injury roulette deal.

if we ended up with a list like this from free agency i would be happy

ROT Joe Barksdale

ILB - Jamari Lattimore

OLB - Pernell McPhee

NT - Ahtyba Rubin

C - Stefen Wisniewski

CB - Buster Skrine

All solid upside youth picks yet most of them are not my number 1 choice. but each has shown the ability to contribute and appear to be ready to take that next step to stater stardom and price themselves out the door at the end of this contract at age 28 or so. just like knight did. we missed on that one.

serious infusion of youth and talent across the board.

mickey would go through a stack of pencils to get this one done. :p i see some resigning so 3 of the 6 would be an excellent off season in my book

Found the post

Murray
Vereen
Matthews
Gore
Spiller
Ingram
Moreno*
Helu
Bradshaw
Ridley
Polk
Rice
McFadden
Asiata
Forsett

Thats before the draft
Then add
Gurley
Gordon
Johnson
Coleman
Yeldon
Abdullah
Davis
Ajayi
Langford
Robinson
Johnson

Now you have teams cutting players
Peterson
Chris Johnson

Id like to see him stay but anything over 3.5ml is pushing it. 4ml on Ingram means 4ml that could go toward Wisniewski,Hudson,Worilds,Maxwell,Thurmond etc

What do y'all think about Kendrick Ellis from the Jets? I don't really watch the Jets play, but he's young and comes from a good D and would probably come at a good price.

Chris Johnson still has plenty left in the tank, he was limited in opportunities...

Question is - has the mouth and attitude matured? developed any sense of humility?!?

Biggest obstacle to overcome for a DL with the Saints is the name Ellis?

Lol...you right about that! But seriously,I think this guy would be an upgrade over Bunkley and probably wouldn't cost us a lot.we can still draft one in the later rounds, but we could use veteran experience at the position.
