Rapoport says we're looking at CJ Spiller.
|
Re: PFF 2015 free agents
This guy is deadly in space but fragile
|
Re: PFF 2015 free agents
He is a really good back for 6-8 games then he is on IR
|
Re: PFF 2015 free agents
Maybe with less of a work-load as a 3rd down back he could hold up. Someone has to catch those screen passes now.

He turned down Bills offer. 4.5mil annually. That's crazy money for Spiller.
|
Re: PFF 2015 free agents
Saints need a pass catching running back but Spiller is made of glass
|
Re: PFF 2015 free agents
The #Patriots signed former #Browns DE Jabaal Sheard to a 2-year deal worth $11M. $5.5M guaranteed. They liked him in the draft.

Re: PFF 2015 free agents
Saints really missed not signing Clint Boling (5 yrs/26 mil) ...
Sorry, but with three (3) thirty-one (31) year old linemen, we're not running the ball effectively for sixty (60) minutes a game for sixteen (16) games, let alone, well, you know...postseason... This is a nice read and touches on some of the arguments I made to get the line younger and more effective... Clint Boling deal shows Bengals' dedication to mission If we really want to get serious on defense by doing what should have been three seasons ago and moving to a 3-4 base, Cincy wants a pass rusher, send them Galette and Grubbs for Boling... |
Re: PFF 2015 free agents
Here is a interesting one for you
The Cowboys have lost DeMarco Murray to the Eagles and now need a workhorse back. They have cap issues so cant go spending huge money without back loading the deal. We still have plenty of holes to fill. We also have no 4th round pick. Would you offer them Khiry Robinson for a mid round pick? We may be signig Spiller as the 3rd down back and grabbing a late/vet back up to replace Robinson whose contract ends after this coming year. I dont see him re-siging to play back up to Ingram for the next few years. The Cowboys get a cheap, youg prospect to replace Murray. We get a pick for a player probably leaving at the end of the season anyway Rick Stroud @NFLSTROUD 25m25 minutes ago Bucs FA Mason Foster reportedly working a three year deal with the Bears. |

Guess Reggie and the Saints weren't feeling the love...
Reggie had a "great visit" with the fourty-whiners, but no sign, no cash... |
Re: PFF 2015 free agents
"It’s one-year for $4M for the Redskins and Terrance Knighton."
Are you kidding me... wow Great deal. |
Re: PFF 2015 free agents

Re: PFF 2015 free agents
Candidates for The Saints During 2015 Free Agency Period (A.G.):
01 RB Mark Ingram :bng: 02 CB Brandon Browner  03 LB Mason Foster 04 DE Jarvis Jenkins 05 LB Andrew Gachkar 06 NT Damon Harrison (RFA/2R Tendered) 07 NT Terrence Cody 08 CB Patrick Robinson 09 RB C.J. Spiller 10 RB Reggie Bush Not crazy electing to sign Browner, a guy with no strikes to spare and the most oft-flagged defensive back at the end of last season... Know there wasn't a whole lot of cap room to spare, but Boling would be terrific leverage right now to redo Evans contract and we'd have a terrific pair of guards... Good bet two rookies will be playing inside linebacker this season... :bandg: |
Re: PFF 2015 free agents
Amazing watching this Ian guy publicly confirm he knows nothing about football, especially that outside of New York... What a bottom feeder... |
Re: PFF 2015 free agents
Chris Culliver's 4-year, $32 million deal w/ Redskins includes $16M fully guaranteed over first two years

Re: PFF 2015 free agents
That tweet from Rapport confirms a belief I've had for years, these "media" clowns only cover a couple teams (favorite and the "darlings") and don't know jack squat about most of the teams in the NFL especially smart market teams
