yeah $18ml for two years work,
Only $1.2ml per hundred yards or $1.8ml per TD |

We don't sign veteran WR's.

Re: PFF 2015 free agents
Then again, it's looks like we're done signing...
As New Orleans Saints need another salary cap squeeze, Jahri Evans could be target | NOLA.com Ellerbe's contract number is a shade under 8.5mil which is why I'd rather have had the second round pick for Stills... Then again, helping with Miami's salary cap might have been another Loomis concession to the Fins... Either way, Evans is the next player who's name we should see featured in the news... |
Re: PFF 2015 free agents
Ellerbe has agreed to restructure hasn't he?
I think Evans redoes his deal but after seeing Grubbs get a good deal after refusing maybe he doesn't. If it comes to that trade him and redo Drew |

Re: PFF 2015 free agents
As of 03/18/2015, we're $2,352,372 under the cap...
The Rams have $13,235,222 of space... And the Jets have $19,661,474 of space... The Raiders of $24,113,985 of cap space... And the Titans have $32,080,999 of room... I'd get on the phone and sell an experienced All-Pro Left Guard... Sources: NFL Salary Cap Space | Over The Cap New Orleans Saints Salary Cap - Over the Cap |
Re: PFF 2015 free agents
I wouldn't.
We want the line to be a position of strength and have a complete new interior is a big ask. |
Re: PFF 2015 free agents
With the room we'd create we could sign
OL Stefen Wisniewski who's played both guard and center and is young, durable... and LB Mason Foster, an inside linebacker who's averaged 88 tackles a season... |
Re: PFF 2015 free agents
If we trade Evans now it only frees up $6M. Doing it after June 1st frees up $7.5M. I am all for seeing how the draft plays out for us before jumping to conclusions on Evans. His dead money is too much regardless and after the draft our needs will become clearer. If we have to go into 2015 with Evans I am content with that decision. His run blocking is still very good and I think the addition of Unger beside him will help his overall play.

Re: PFF 2015 free agents
Still a lot of ILBs available, good young talent too. I am kind of shocked about the slow down. Looks like all GMs are prepping for the draft.

Re: PFF 2015 free agents
players now are getting a reality check and now just want a job.
FA signing after the draft is always fun. |
Re: PFF 2015 free agents
Instead of Spencer, I'd rather bring in Mason Foster...
|
Re: PFF 2015 free agents
So Mason Foster has officially signed with the Bears. Be honest folks... If you were told a few weeks ago that we'd be signing Dannell Ellerbe instead of Foster (without knowing the details of a trade being involved) would you be disappointed? Strictly based on your perception of both players before free agency started. Personally, yes.
|
Re: PFF 2015 free agents
we will see. i would have loved to have both.
Both are solid all around player But Foster has that knack of being in the right place at the right time. that to me is the biggest difference. |
Re: PFF 2015 free agents
Anthony Spencer is meeting with the Saints.

Hmmm... That's interesting. We never normally sign veteran free agent WR's. Who's out there still that this could be referring to? Greg Jennings? |

Probably Greg Jennings. He could be solid vet signing.
