Re: 2017 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook
Circling back to the cornerback position ...
On paper we have a lot of cb dept coming to camp that could make some noise but I still believe we could use another (veteran). Lattimore may potentially become the real deal, Breaux will likely be the starter for 2017 & Sterling has a spot here (at least in my mind). Outside of that, I have question marks galore & no one we can count on consistently. I'd like to see a veteran brought in at camp to "stir the pot". |

I'd still bring in a vet (McCourty, Verner etc) to push em at camp. |

Also, McCourty wouldn't take a paycut from his scheduled 7 mil salary; would he even want to come here to be a backup? Would he take what a backup might make here? We'll be fine at CB this year. And if another rash of injuries breaks out, then that's on the Saints' Training & Condition program and its partners. And a CB rotation of Breaux, Lattimore, Williams, Moore, Crawley is probably the best this franchise has ever seen and will likely be among the league best. |

Re: 2017 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook
Eric Asher was on local radio and rightly questioned, opined that the Saints have made some great changes to the staff, but still haven't addressed training and health with specific criticism of the Ochsner Sports Med partnership...
If we have another outbreak as we've had, really think some significant changes will have to be made... |
