Still a lot of questions marks and health concerns at the position.

We've got five picks in the top 103, three of those top fifty to address it in one of the best, deepest defensive drafts in memory...

And consider the odds of all those Saints defenders getting injured in the same year all at once like they did; I like the odds of Karma that they stay healthy next season...

This shows us what the best QB in Saints history can produce on a routine basis with whatever he is given. Please let him not choose to retire for another ten years. Seriously, Brees is still, and will be for the foreseeable future, an elite QB in the NFL.

And our linebackers don't look to bad either...

SLB (2) 50 - Stephone Anthony, 54 - Nate Stupar, 42 - Travis Feeney

MLB (2) 58 - A.J. Klein, 00 - Manti Te'o, 00 - Adam Bighill

WLB (2) 59 - Dannell Ellerbe, 52 - Craig Robertson, 44 - Hau'oli Kikaha

Kikaha is a linebacker, not a defensive end; he may line up on the edge, but he's not going to anchor against the offensive line, contain the flow of a play, and force the action to the inside.

He'll be a good rush backer on sub packages, but long term, he'll have a tough time getting more playing time in this scheme which really requires four big men up front to anchor and control plays...

My X factor going into camp will be Erik Harris. He was showing good promise prior to injury.

Side note - Vonn B will be better in year 2. He has ball hawk ability.

When I played all DBs had to have Nos. in the 40s; fullbacks could wear a no. in 40s as well...

RBs were all 30s, Wide Receivers were either in 80s, Flankers, or SlotBacks wore 20s; LBs and Centers wore 50s; though some Centers and Nose Tackles could wear "00", Offensive/Defensive Tackles wore 70s, Other DL wore 90s. Offensive Guards wore 60s. QBs wore 7-19, Kickers and Punters wore 1-6.

Game has changed some...

All things being equal...

We'll keep six (6) maybe seven (7) linebackers and each LBer will have to show at least ability at two LB positions and ST play...

I would say Ellerbe, Klein, Robertson, Stupar, Anthony are safe for now...

Kikaha has to show he's healthy...

Feeney will need to have added bulk and some skills...

Te'o has to first show he's healthy and totally outplay Klein...

Bighill would have to out play Klein, Robertson, and Te'o and be a beast on ST...

If Ellerbe comes in achy/injured and with his cap hit, then he could be in trouble...

Snead isn't going to cost that much...

Snead, and Vaccaro (if Saints are planning to keep him) are two guys that'll need to get extended this year...

If Vaccaro is thinking he's top ten money, then the Saints will take a Safety early and plan for life without him...

Snead will be getting over 8ml maybe close to 10ml. The WR market has bern screwed by teams like the Rams giving silly money to WR2 and 3s.

Snead will not be getting anywhere near 10mil/annum; Loomis would truly have lost it then...

Top No. 2 WR money is at 7mil/annum which I think he could be in that range, maybe topping out at 8mil towards the end of his contract...

His average per annum will be around 7.5 million...

And there's the same issue on the other side as Armstead has never played a full season...

See all this love for defense and impact offense yet no solutions to this glaring issue?

will the saints load up on UDFA in 2017 to address the issue like they did in 2016 with OG? There are some solid UDFA OT but they are UDFA. Peat can bounce outside but LOG becomes an issue or does it? never know till they play the game.

Imagine if the saints drafted Ryan Ramczyk at 11. saints nation would go nuts. He is the best swing OT in the draft. Next one would be Garret Bolles at 32. After that I am not seeing a plug and not get killed OT in the draft.

Ryan Ramczyk is a one year wonder with a ton of hype that I still believe is better off at RT than LT in the NFL.
Garret Bolles is a bit less hype but I do love his upside. Is 32 really to high to address RT in a draft so poor in OT options.

Given the corner the saints have painted themselves into I have to say chasing a player like Garret Bolles is not so crazy.

If needed Bolles with TE/RB over sight is a safe bet to hold his own.
