For anyone wondering... the 2nd team LB's were:

WLB- Anzalone
MLB- Robertson
SLB- Stupar

Lots of rotating to come in the next few days though so don't read too much into it.

Correct sir...

WLB- Anthony
MLB- Te'o
SLB- Klein

Not exactly what I was expecting but it's far from final.

I wish they would sell a replica of that locker. I need it for the man cave.

Real players have bare concrete floors, a splintery wood bench in front of a nail hammered into a concrete block wall! Real players wore their cleats on the inside, walked through the heat and humidity to practice, up hill!! Both ways!!

That is a really nice locker room. I also love the way Strief talks about Colston.

In a plush locker vote you would be in the overwhelming minority. I bet they would replace your stuff with scrap 2X4's and some rust nails just for fun lol! I get what you are saying though. These guys are pampered like no other athletes on the planet.

Well Day 1 is in the books...

Was listening to what Brees had to say about getting the players to acclimate to the weather...

Helmets and shorts for a few days; then pads and hitting on Saturday...

Seems like we're getting a feel for what the coaches have been scheming this offseason...

So that's what Curtis is doing, checking for cellular phones...

Could you imagine a Joe Horn-ability receiver opposite Can'tGuardMike?!? Know way Loomis could keep that under the salary cap without a rookie contract involved...

Re: 2017 New Orleans Saints Training Camp

...Take One: Ramczyk runs with the 1’s

...I think Ramczyk is the favorite to start at left tackle this season.

Take Two: Linebackers

...Sean Payton complimented Anthony’s practice. He looks so much more comfortable playing off the line of scrimmage as opposed to the strongside where he is closer to the line...

Take Three: Kamara flashes

...Kamara is built well but it also shifty and runs with great vision. He also has very natural hands with a good feel for timing in the screen game....

Take Four: Plays of the Day

Rafael Bush stepped in front of a Chase Daniel pass to make a nice interception. It was the type of pick that would have also had a big return.

In a battle of Buckeyes, Marshon Lattimore got the best of Michael Thomas during 7-on-7’s. He broke up a pass on Thomas’s most effective route, the slant. Lattimore spent most of the day with the second team but received some first team reps towards the end of practice.

Take Five: Other Observations
  • P.J. Williams and Delvin Breaux spent most of the day as the first team cornerbacks.
  • David Onyemata received a lot of first team reps at defensive tackle. This is a good sign that his football IQ has grown and the team is trusting him with more responsibility.
  • Drew Brees went to the ground during one of the team drills when his feet got tangled up with a lineman. It was nothing but anytime #9 goes down in practice, it’s certainly going to get attention.
  • Wil Lutz was 8/8 on field goals with a long of 49 yards.
  • John Phillips had appendicitis and missed practice Thursday.
  • Payton confirmed that Damian Swann was the one player who didn’t pass his conditioning test and was placed on PUP.

Great work by Fazende!!!

I've never seen that tool before. Maybe it has been around a while but that makes perfect sense. If you can catch it getting nudged with it likely going to make some tough grabs.

Day 2 has been underway for a little bit now... Can't wait to hear how we lined up at LB today! If Anthony's still taking 1st team reps at Will then I'm going to start feeling very optimistic about young Stephone!

I know it's early but I like what I'm hearing about Lattimore already, breaking up passes and forcing fumbles. Seems like the guy has a nose for the football.

Quite suprising to hear about Brandon Coleman, who cares to wager that his improvement is down to Curtis Johnson? I sure would.

Stephone has had consecutive days where he has stopped a screen play, that either says he is diagnosing plays faster or our offense is very predictable?
