If a GM knows a player has skills but also knows they have no chance at making the final roster they will often do their best to help that player. What from the outside seems cold and callous, it is actually quite honorable.

I felt bad for Swann and us really because his first season that kid looked like he was going to be very good. Maybe he gets back on track

Somewhat. Payton has traditionally kept at least on the roster three (3) tackles with two (2) starters; same with the guards, 3 & 2; a starting center; and then we usually have another lineman keeping us between 7-8 during our better seasons under Coach P...

We've not seen this kinda heat in a couple of years...

We're definitely grabbing a guard in next offseason...

Off subject but has it been? Somehow this summer hasn't seemed as hot as I remember others. My job puts me in 130-40 degree heat so maybe I haven't noticed.

This past week I have had several people remark this feels the hottest it's been in a while...

We've actually been Blessed with beautiful weather the past couple years and I think people are just having trouble acclimating, I know I am...

But it's been a nice break after those maelstrong seasons of back-to-back hurricane seasons...

I know offense has an advantage but I hope Breaux isn't getting torched regularly. He was so good his rookie year. Then injuries last year.

The d should have the advantage at this time of year because offense takes so much timing. D should be ahead of them, but one on one coverage with a perfect pass is hard to defend...imho

What I'm hearing is that we've been playing a lot of cover 2. Breaux isn't getting burned... The safety over top is blowing it. No word on who the safety has been on those plays.
