I would hope Craig Robertson gets the start over Klein in all fairness, Klein has so far proved nothing and Robertson was easily our best defensive player last season.

I'm pretty darn surprised even Te'o is ahead of him. I get the connection with Nolan from the San Diego days but still.

Lattimore is real. College stats, better throwing it in the dirt than his direction. He is a shutdown CB.

Know Barnidge is 31yo, but he's got to be an improvement to this TE Roster corps...

It's all in the hips with Lattimore. His recovery/closing speed is sick.

Wait until they put the pads on though.

My only concern with Lattimore is how much zone coverage Dennis Allen uses. Hopefully he uses Lattimore to his strengths and doesn't stick him playing cover 2 all the time. Gotta let that horse run.

Sure would like to see No. 15, Jake Lampmann, make this team and contribute regularly...

Sounds like Joe Lombardi and Curtis Johnson are having huge impacts on Grayson and Coleman.

I'll keep saying that our biggest, and most overlooked, acquisitions were Mike Nolan, Ryan Nielsen, and Curtis Johnson...

And Johnson is a beast with the whoop stick!!!

That might be just what Coleman needed to bring out the dog in him!

It should be noted that the defense was playing a cover 2 when Coleman caught that deep ball against Breaux so it wasn't really Breaux getting beat. I'm not sure who the safety was over the top that blew it.

Stephone Anthony impressing Saints at new spot, putting frustrating season behind him | Saints | theadvocate.com

"He hasn't been thinking as much, which is what he needs to do, because he has the natural abilities to make plays," Saints linebacker Manti Te'o said. "I was always taught, if you think, you stink, and as players, we get trapped in that zone where we're always trying to be perfect, and with Steph, he's just been out there, he hasn't been thinking as much and he's letting his instincts take over."

I'm just glad it's being held here. Once they start seeing, hearing and feeling the support of the fans it's gong to carry a lot of weight on these players. I know some may laugh at me but morale is a very dangerous thing.

excelling at WLB? what a huge plus it would be if he can land the starting job and keep it. Talk about the flexibility it would add to the LB Corp not to mention the speed

It never occurred to me trying him at WLB, but it sounds like a great move so far! Mike Nolan is already looking brilliant. It's early though. Anzalone could overtake him over the next couple weeks.

When Anthony was drafted, he was meant for a 3-4 ILB job which I believe would be his best, most natural position...

Saints coaching has done a horrible, really non-existent job of developing linebackers when we did draft them...

Taking Anthony and replacing Vitt with Nolan will come to be one of those shifts when they close the books on Payton's tenure with the Saints where football fans will say...

"Why in the h~ll didn't Payton do this sooner?!?" And it will be a just, fair criticism...

Vitt Jr is he still a scout for the Saints? What players has he signed off on is the better question

Now we're getting to questions of real substance and what kind of organization this team really wants to be...

Give a person a job based on merit or on nepotism? or some other criteria?

And he's not the only one in the personnel department we need to ask this question...

Yea but on this play the safeties were supposed to have helped. They were out of position. Had that not been the case he could have had a major play. Reports say offense was sloppy and missing assignments.

I was just reading on...I think Twitter, but might be somewhere else that they were saying if Ram can just give us what Bushrod fave us things will go well. I couldn't agree more. He doesn't have to be a probowler for us to be really good. I like hearing this. I don't what he will become but I really like the pick in going after a top tier olineman in round 1. They're not the sexy picks, but they're good picks. If unger is ready to go week 1 this line could be best we have had in years and that would be without armistead. I am drinking the cool aid again. They have sucked me back in.

Well, right now we're sucking on Sno-balls vs cool aid as it's Africa-hot right now in South Louisiana...

We've not seen this kinda heat in a couple of years...

We're definitely grabbing a guard in next offseason...

AP sharing the load could really give us a good year or two. Nice 1-2 punch him and Mark...then throw in Kamara and best group of backs we have had in a long time.
