Only Kamara is in the same ballpark when it comes to catching the ball and making a play. And don't forget, Ingram spent the whole time rookie orientation (OTA's) was going on working with an expert on improving his speed, route running and pass blocking skills (ie. getting better). I just don't see how replacing our leading rusher with a backup lineman or project TE helps us win our second Lombardi in 2018.

Three of the HBs, plus the FB have been with the team since last season, so they've got familiarity with the system, playbook... If the Saints have put a greater emphasis on a player's ability to break down plays, responsibilities in their draft efforts, then Boston should be fine... Terrance West is the real wild-card in so far as his ability to process the playbook; he's physically comparable to Ingram... On the other hand, Ingram took nearly five years to get on the field full-time and produce like a lead back, nevermind it took a first and second pick to get him... |
