Find another DE for depth. You can never have enough pass rushers.

SS Tyrann Mathieu

I'd welcome the move however he's played a lot of slot corner (probably why Saints didn't call him post PRob signing) over the last year.

He's a beast when healthy (2 ACL tears) though. Just don't see him signing in NO.

You know I'm not disagreeing with the back half of that statment, but you're saying move on from Okafor?

We have Cam Jordan, Marcus Davenport, and Trey Hendrickson under contract...

Possibly. Oak is very good veteran depth that can start. Over the years I've noticed that the Saints FO has been very loyal to players ... even to a fault. Meanwhile pre injury, Davenport (pretty vicious run defender) was on his way to becoming a monster. I'd like him to take over that spot in 2019.

I continue to believe that he (MD) is the future coming off the edge.

Tua isn't so impressive when that incredible Bama line faces worthy competition...

Like I said if we trade up again this year it will be for a TE.

McCoy in rotation sure. But I’m going “all out” for him

Ryan has been over hyped since his junior year at Texas A&M. All I see is a nice back up/solid #2 at best.

Why in the world would you want Jesse James then? Brate is a much more established TE.

Established? Bucs kept rolling out O.J. Howard instead of Brate...

Plus, if Payton had liked Brate that much, why'd we let him get out of the house?!?

And that's all I'm saying we should view him as if he were signed; factor experience, Payton offense boost, he'd be better than Bridgewater or the Greatest Overpaid Backup in League History, Chase Daniels...

That’s my point. If Bridgewater is gone we’ll need a #2.

For what Payton's invested with him, I agree, he should be starting...

Why wouldn't you pay Okafor to stick around as a rotation/reserve/depth while you can afford it with Davenport in a rookie contract?

We'd return all four of our edge rushers and could focus on fewer positions...

You're excluding the years before Howard when Brate was the #1 guy and a pretty decent TD machine in the redzone. I'm in no way advocating a Brate signing, but I stand by my statement that he's way more of an established presence than James. James sparks zero excitement in anyway.

Blocking. You're forgetting about blocking which Brate is not built to do. Drafting an offensive lineman isn't exciting, but it wins games...

Go back and look and when the Steelers were running teams into the ground, you'll find Jesse James blocking and making a complimentary reception...

That's what you need a complimentary player that doesn't break the bank...

Bridgewater is supposed to be the target of both the Jags and Dolphins, which I buy that theory - that may also net us a No. 3 compensatory pick in 2020...

Tanneyhill could be attracted to come in on a short-term two year deal to learn from Payton, Brees and then reboot somewhere afterwards...

The guy is good enough to win in short stretches, should that need arise - it's not like this offense isn't without teeth when Brees takes a breather...

Could you imagine us gaining a starter as a reserve and a Rd 3 pick for giving up a 3rd rounder and our backup? That'd be a sweet save...

I'd be fine with either. Gotta believe in clutch moments (see Rams NFCCG), James makes a crucial catch or keep the chains moving.

Don't be too hard on Arnold, only a rookie on limited snap counts, active games - he's gonna make you proud...

The Eagles are way over the salary cap and one player they could release (freeing up about $3 million) is G/C Stefen Wisniewski. I’d love to bring him in for the 6th man role on the interior.

Gotta believe a healthy Dez and Meredith foxes our WR corps. Someone said shifty, slot guy. That would be TLL in my mind.

Agree with bringing in Hogan and/or Humphries - guys that are ultra-reliable doing their jobs, in being where they're suppose to be - guys that Brees can trust!
