He could've added Teammate to the list if he didn't settle for the basement dwellers.

Looks like Cam’s working on a team-friendly contract extension! He has a $14mil cap hit this year so that could be lowered dramatically. That-a-boy Cam!

Man... This is twice in the past week I’ve read something like this. Starting to get worried we’re going to do something dumb.

So u think we’re pat on wr ? If Andy Isabella is there in 2nd it’s a super bowl win win win win but OL is the rite call for a brees reinforcement .

We could use a WR for that Lance Moore/Willie Snead IV and Isabella would be amazing if we had more draft picks...

Wouldn't be opposed to adding a Adam Humphries or Chris Hogan as Carr hasn't stepped up and may have lost Brees' trust...

But, yes, I like what we have with Mike Thomas, Ted Ginn, Keith Kirkwood, and Tre'Quan Smith without bringing back Dez Bryant or others...

Some receivers don't learn their lesson from the Wes Welker experience - valuable, not invaluable to the offense, replaceable and would do better to accept their earnings ceiling...

Hoping this is more about driving up his cost for Tampa Bay...

Good! Sounds like we are targeting Humphries.

2018 lacked a true slot receiver & TE. I really don't care who we bring in as long as the production and the ability to create separation is there.

Once MT is blanketed/doubled, it's over.

Have Faith that the rookies Tre'Quan and Kirkwood will progress; Brees just likes his system and you're right, we failed to replace the Lance Moore/Willie Snead IV role...

Payton doesn't trust Josh Hill and I think that's why we saw some forced action to Dan Arnold who definitely flashed some tremendous potential, even if he's raw at a new position, learning on the NFL fly, no less...

But, at the end of the day, we still had a Top 5 offense that should have won the Superbowl...

Can't help but bring up that with those older veterans breaking down, we peaked too early in the season and faded which is why teams (i.e. Pats) with young drafted players always come on in the playoffs...

The one thing I don't get to do is interview these guys and look them in the eyes; Saints, specifically Loomis/Payton, need to do more of that and less of the referral system...

I just don't know.

Both could blossom however Tre better get his mental game turned around quickly. You just can't rely on them outside of being wide open (even Tre dropped a few of those). Route running & technique must improve. Wide receivers shouldn't struggle as much with Brees throwing them the ball.

If the likes of Hakeem Butler, Parris Campbell (Ohio St) or even Ridley falls to us in the 2nd and he's the best player available on your draft board ... take him.

I understand the Brees factor, but remember Kirkwood got little favors from his Colleges in the way of development, prep for the Pro Game...

Tre'Quan was a 3rd round pick WR, that's usually a year of development before seeing significant snaps on the field on most teams, but need forced him on sooner...

I know, I know, we need Defensive Tackles right now, but to land Collins and/or Honey Badger would be a Free Agency coup...

As Patriots are my 1A team, there are only two Patriots that interest me right now for the Saints...

Julian Edelman and Bill Belichick...
;)

I think need for d line and more pass rushers far outweighs safeties.

That’s kind of why I’m fine with letting Tyeler Davison go. We have Stallworth ready to step up and a decent backup like Bromley can be had for vet minimum.

We better be paying Davison not letting him walk.

If Gruden is shopping Carr I hope Payton offers a 5th and Gruden bites, they are friends. Carr could fit in our system nicely.
