I know Eric Weddle is probably not on the Saints radar, however he's been consistently solid over the last few seasons.

Hey may retire. It's been a good career & has lived up to his draft status.

Side note - it would be nice to have a good veteran push Marcus Williams. This is year #3, so he needs to bring his A game in 2019.

Thinking the same thing but OL and one more weapon for Brees and I think we’re back in the NFCC at least

Supply vs Demand, we should be able to improve Safety position without spending much in a down year for safeties...

Let Peat go and sign Zeitler to play LG.

They want to trade Zeitler. And Peat does have market value as a LT...

There’s been a TON of buzz over the last 24 hours that the Browns are about to make a tremendous move. Browns players have tweeted cryptic things about John Dorsey being a genius and the talking heads have said the rumors they’re hearing are crazy. Finally, one of them spilled the beans on what the rumor is...

I kind of like Peat's versatility. I think he's pretty awesome.

Peat is a better LG than LT but he has versatility and is the type of player we should not let get out of the building.

Geez $6mil annually for a TE who has never caught a TD pass? He’s a great blocker but that’s odd; especially considering they drafted Hayden Hurst and Mark Andrews in the first and third rounds last year.

Pretty sure that's a fake tweet. No confirmation of it anywhere, and if you look closely the tweet comes from "5port center."

Yep, copied the wrong tweet, trying to go back in my history for the original story (appears to be deleted as well)...

OBJ is an amazing talent, but no way do I trade a talent like Zeitler (maybe the best Right Guard in the NFL right now) and those picks for OBJ...

At Best, I'd send Zeitler and a 3rd for OBJ and I'm not sold that OBJ is worth the headache - and that's compounded with "availability on Sundays" issues...

No way I would trade Zeitler
The Brown's should be looking at what has helped Brees and that's investing big money in the interior of the line. Mayfield another short QB, keep him upright and give him a clean pocket

Kind of a head scratcher on Zeitler if the "trade talks" are true.

I'd still prefer Jesse James. Dude knows how to create separation to keep the chains moving + he's only 24 years of age.

If Ingram's people comes at the Saints FO with crazy numbers, I'd give a fifth back to Chicago for Jordan Howard and with him extended to a cap-friendly contract...

Funny you mentioned that...

Baltimore just essentially paid Nick Boyle $6mil/annum which effectively blows the Tight End Free Agent Market Up, despite a deep Tight End draft...

Best case for the Saints, sign Jesse James to ~$8.5 - $9 mil/annum...

Then spend a fifth on TE Kahale Warring if you really aren't happy with our current schedule of tight ends...

Personally, I wouldn't sweat it as much as some going into the season with Josh Hill, Dan Arnold, and Garret Griffin; but James is an elite blocker at tight end so that's why I think he's worth the valuable cap space...

For a blocking TE? But then again, the Ravens do run the ball a lot.

But still JP ... 6M for Nick? Wow. Good for him though.

But yea, your're 100% on this blowing up the market for TE free agents.

Maybe I didn't word it as clearly as I should have, so allow me to make another run; first, I believe we already have three receiving tight ends that can get it done, with essentially two first year guys returning...

What James adds is ability to both catch & block; if we're gonna spend valuable, limited cap space on TE, which I think is already solid, at least we're adding an elite blocker coming from strong running PIT offense...

Emotions aside, I really, really hope the Saints front office brass can find a way to keep Mark in New Orleans.

Other than sending a fifth rounder for Jordan Howard, I really don't care for any of the FA RBs this year aside from Ingram - and we have very few darts for the draft board to replace Ingram...

How about Chargers WR Tyrell Williams?

Not a big name but he was very productive with the Bolts.

Ah yes, the 2014 draft where big CB’s were all the rage because of the Seahawks. Lots of hype that Pierre Desir, Keith McGill and Stanley Jean-Baptiste could be the next Richard Sherman. We played that all wrong. Then again, that whole draft was an abomination.

No way!

This can’t be true. That’s cold-blooded Pittsburgh.

Edit: Now there’s conflicting reports. Looks like Ian Crap-report may have struck again with false info.
