I was a runner keeping the food stands stocked on the third floor the first year and changing out kegs. I was a floor walker (runner supervisor) on the third floor the next year and head floor walker year three. That final year (1980) was the first year of the Super Derby. Never came close to a horse then, but it was still interesting watching the people. Eddie Debartolo owned the track back then. He also owned the 49er's at the time. I now drive by that track all the time. Just about three miles up I-220 from our house. I saw an obituary from the man the ran the commissary (where all the food and beer was stocked) there in the Spring. He had to have been 90 when he died. I thought he was so old back then. LOL!

Sorry, but I never could moon walk. I've tried but can't get the moves down.
You can do anything you imagine, 'Guido. I'm sure you'll figure it out.

I've been lucky to experience a lot in my first 63 years, burning. Hope to experience much more in the next 63. I have always looked to expand my horizons. I've been working since I was 16 at one thing or another.

That's great, 'Guido, it really is. I'd tell you my life story, too, except that it wouldn't have anything to do with... anything. And I'm certain no one would care.

I'm sure no one would care to hear about your life. Just kidding. I'm sure you had to have done something interesting at one point or another. Anyway, last night got me to want to dig through my old shirt collection for the "I Survived Super Derby I" t-shirt. We could probably make a few bucks off of it in the store. Thanks for reminding me!

My fault for asking.
Now that's just funny right there...

Thanks for your interest. But my life is not the subject matter of the thread, and I'm not seeking points for the interesting parts of my life history. Of course, if someone were genuinely curious to get to know me, for any reason, they are welcome to private message me at any time with a question. But I rather doubt that would happen, since people don't generally come to public forums to talk about each other's personal history.

Brees has never been the most talented NFL QB. His intangibles, particularly his leadership, are what made him great. The guy’s reputation was impeccable.

He was the guy New Orleans and the Saints rallied around. Jenkins and Thomas ruined that when they publicly criticized Brees because Brees had the audacity to defend standing for the national anthem.

Brees is no longer the leader of the Saints, who fell to 1-2 Sunday night. He’s a player on the team. It’s a tragedy what Jenkins and Thomas did to Brees, the NFL’s modern-day Walter Payton.

If the Saints miss the playoffs, blame Jenkins, Thomas and the media race hustlers.

He was one of the team captains today. I don’t understand. But I admit that I’m not woke.

That's okay. That just means you still have some common sense. Lol.
