When BleacherReport also chimes in as the voice of reason ... you know you've got a problem to fix!

BR was bought out by TBS Time Warner and hired some very good writers. Murf Baldwin has written some very good articles.

They are infinitely better than they used to be.

And the only thing I don't like about the article is his failure to mention PT's durability.

With that said, Khiry Robinson is the guy who most closely resembles PT in size and skill set. I hope we see more of him this year.

I "may" have found the answer.. Surprised the author didn't dig just a little deeper.

Ingram's Left Foot buckeling

Left foot Turf Toe/ Sprain
Posted Dec. 18, 2011
The Saints have placed Ingram on injured reserve, ending his season. Ingram, who won the 2009 Heisman Trophy at Alabama, missed New Orleans' last four games because of a sprained toe on his left foot. Coach Sean Payton says the injury got worse during practice last week and basically ensured he wouldn't be able to catch up in time to contribute this season. Ingram carried 122 times for 474 yards and five touchdowns this season. His longest run was a 35-yard touchdown against the New York Giants on Nov. 28.

Reports: Saints RB Ingram to miss postseason
Posted Jan. 01, 2012 @ 3:09 p.m. ET
The Saints will be without rookie RB Mark Ingram for the playoffs. The first-round pick will have season-ending surgery on his toe this week.

Turf Toe
Significant disability can occur with damage to structures of the 1st MTP joint complex. Of all individuals with turf toe, 50% will have persistent symptoms after 5 years. Possible long term effects include failure to regain push-off strength, hallux rigidus, hallux valgus, hallux cock-up deformity, arthrofibrosis, and loose joint bodies.
Turf Toe: Symptoms, Treatment, Prevention - Greensboro, NC - Sports Injuries

hallux rigidus ~ Degenerative arthritis and stiffness due to bone spurs that affects the MTP joint at the base of the hallux (big toe) is called hallux rigidus or stiff big toe.

hallux valgus ~ Bunion

Arthrofibrosis ~ of the toe is a surgical complication that can limit range of motion, inhibit muscle activity, and decrease patient function.

It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see. ~ Henry David Thoreau

Re: Ingram- What do we do with him?

He'd be less worthless on IR, because someone with the football would actually be advancing it.

Injury Prone. Dump him at first opportunity. In the meantime, have him hold a clipboard.

Or, our "emotional attachment" to this penny stock will lead to ruin.

Just wondering, what is the financial implication if we cut him now?

$3 million, in other words, it's not going to happen.
